I choose A too! Why B? It's not obvious and there's no explanation for this question. A logically follows, B may be implicit, but A logically follows and that is what the question asks to pick.

A cannot be wrong because "some" means an unspecified amount, but not all. So yes, some of the candidates of this examination DID write in Hindi.

It should be in Hindi language also. Which will be more reliable for the Hindi medium student.
