Statement: The improvement in the quality of T.V. programmes will lead to increase in the sales of T.V.
Assumptions:
- T.V. is a good entertainment medium.
- The quality of T.V, programmes has improved recently.
Answer: Option
Explanation:
The improvement in quality of programmes will increase the sale shows that it is in great use. So, I is implicit. Nothing is mentioned of recent changes. So, II is not implicit.

Assume we work for the company that is selling TVs or the company that makes TV programmes. Then we believe I is true, i.e. TV is "good" because we can earn money from it. But II is not necessarily true because occasionally there are liberals elected into office, or because monsoons have disrupted TV service.

"The improvement" can be read to mean improvement has already occurred and is not a hypothetical contingent. Therefore, assumption II is valid. No case is given for the "goodness" of the TV programs. They may all be horror shows of improved high quality, or crime reports of high quality, neither of which can be said to be "good" for the public. Thus, TV may be a horrible entertainment medium. The answer is B.
