Statement: Should all the legislators be forced to resign from their profession?

Arguments:

  1. Yes. They will be able to devote more time for the country.
  2. No, nobody will contest election.
Only argument I is strong
Only argument II is strong
Either I or II is strong
Neither I nor II is strong
Both I and II are strong
Answer: Option
Explanation:
The legislators should surely not be engaged in any other profession because only then will they be able to work with devotion. So, argument I holds. Also, if such a law is enforced, only those people will contest elections who are really prepared to work for the country. So, argument II is vague.

They have mentioned "any other profession" in the explanation but the Statement doesn't even mention " any other profession". How if anyone can think they are talking about " any other profession?

Please clarify this.

The profession of a legislator is to make laws. In the explanation, it says "from all other professions". The statement never said anything about other professions!?

The statement is vague. It should mention resigning from 'other business activity'. Word 'Profession' can be implied as their job of legislator also.

Statement I was is vague, how can anyone is forced to be resigned from their profession. I think option D will be correct.

Just because the legislators are forced to resign, it doesn't mean that they would do social service.

Statement 1 is completely vague and illogical ideally they are legislators to serve country better.
