Statement: Should Doordarshan be given autonomous status?
Arguments:
- Yes. It will help Doordarshan to have fair and impartial coverage of all important events.
- No. The coverage of events will be decided by a few who may not have healthy outlook.
Answer: Option
Explanation:
Clearly, the autonomous status of the Doordarshan will be a step towards giving it independence for an impartial coverage. Autonomous status does not mean that the coverage will be decided by a few. So, only argument I holds.

It is based on the premise that Doordarshan is not independent. How has that assumption been arrived at?

In my opinion, the answer is D as given Dooradarshan an autonomous status doesn't mean that they will be impartial and fair in coverage and selection of important events. They can misuse it as we have seen many such incidents so far. Also autonomous status doesn't mean that the coverage is decided by only a few people.
