Lets take difference of successive 36-34=2,34-30=4,30-28=2,28-24=4..
By observing the above differences that is clear that 4,2 are the successive differences that we are getting.
So the next difference is 2,4,2,4,2,4, next number 24-2=22.

We can do it other way also as follows:
36 - 30 = 6.
