Here the logic is; 8 is an alternate common number.
So, 22 + 6 = 28
and again 28 + 6 =34.
So, The series is 8, 22, 8, 28, 8, 34.

Then,

8+14 = 22.

8+20(6+14) = 28.

8+26(6+20) = 34 --------------- Answer.

8+32(6+26) = 40.

To get another number we will add 6 in 28

To tricky and confusing, I go wit Vinod, since 8 is common forget about it and leave its position the n mind about 22 and 28.

28+8=36 difference in the answer no is 6.

Since 8+34=42 difference is same and answer is 34.

My way of approach was,

8*2 = 16 + 6 = 22
8*3 = 24 + 4 = 28
8*4 = 32 + 2 = 34

Here 6 is add because six is difference between 22, 28.

Like 22+6 = 28.

28+6 = 34.
