Logical Reasoning - Number Series - Discussion

Discussion Forum : Number Series - Type 2 (Q.No. 6)
Directions to Solve
Look carefully for the pattern, and then choose which pair of numbers comes next.

6.
2 3 4 5 6 4 8
9 10
4 8
10 4
9 4
8 9
Answer: Option

since number 4 is repeated at every third place it is interpolated means removed so now,

2 3 [4] 5 6 [4] 8

2+1= 3
3+2= 5
5+1= 6
6+2= 8
8+1= 9

So answer is 9 and as 4 is repeated for third place so 4 should be placed 9+2= 11 and so on.

2 3 (4) 5 6 (4) 8 9 (4) 11, 12 (4)

the series goes this way...
2, 3 Omit the next number and put 4,
5, 6, Omit the next number and put 4,
8, 9, Omit the next number and put 4,

so on...

Interpolation means adding a number in random without any logic

Thus:

2 next 3
Interpolation == 4
5 next 6
Interpolation == 4
8 next __? ==> 9
Interpolation == 4
This follows

Hello friends
here series is,2,3,4,5,6,4,8
1.every third position occupy 4
2.remaing seriens are get by add 1 and 2 respectively.
so result is,8+1=9 and 3rd position =4
(1)
