Discussion Forum : Number Series - Type 2 (Q.No. 6)
Directions to Solve
Look carefully for the pattern, and then choose which pair of numbers comes next.
6.
2 3 4 5 6 4 8
Answer: Option

Here 4 is a number that is repeated everytime at 3rd place.There is a simple addition is happen.Firstly add 1 then 2.so that by adding 1 in 2 we get 3.Now 4 will be appear at 3rd place as it is repeated.Now add 2 in 3 we get 5 and now add 1 in 5 we get 6.Now 4 will again repeated.Again add 2 in 6 we get 8.Now we add 1 in 8 we get 9 and again 4 will be appear.this is our answer.:)

Here you have given the number such as 2 3 4 5 6 4 8. For this series you have taken the numbers 2-6 is by adding 1 and the remaining numbers 4 and 8 cannot be possible for adding the digit 1 and hence the answer cannot be able to identify the 8 9.
Can you say these answer in detail?

since number 4 is repeated at every third place it is interpolated means removed so now,
2 3 [4] 5 6 [4] 8
2+1= 3
3+2= 5
5+1= 6
6+2= 8
8+1= 9
So answer is 9 and as 4 is repeated for third place so 4 should be placed 9+2= 11 and so on.
2 3 [4] 5 6 [4] 8
2+1= 3
3+2= 5
5+1= 6
6+2= 8
8+1= 9
So answer is 9 and as 4 is repeated for third place so 4 should be placed 9+2= 11 and so on.

2 3 (4) 5 6 (4) 8 9 (4) 11, 12 (4)
the series goes this way...
2, 3 Omit the next number and put 4,
5, 6, Omit the next number and put 4,
8, 9, Omit the next number and put 4,
so on...
the series goes this way...
2, 3 Omit the next number and put 4,
5, 6, Omit the next number and put 4,
8, 9, Omit the next number and put 4,
so on...

The above series have the 3rd position replaced by the : 4.
Solution: 2 3 (4) 5 6 (7) 8 9 (10)..
Series: 2 3 (4) 5 6 (4) 8 9 (4) ..
So answer is : 9 4

Interpolation means adding a number in random without any logic
Thus:
2 next 3
Interpolation == 4
5 next 6
Interpolation == 4
8 next __? ==> 9
Interpolation == 4
This follows
Thus:
2 next 3
Interpolation == 4
5 next 6
Interpolation == 4
8 next __? ==> 9
Interpolation == 4
This follows

Hello friends
here series is,2,3,4,5,6,4,8
1.every third position occupy 4
2.remaing seriens are get by add 1 and 2 respectively.
so result is,8+1=9 and 3rd position =4

Every second letter after repeat 4 ,2 and 3 between(2+1) diferance 1,5and 6 between(5+1) differance 1,and 4 is combind after 2nd letter,so( 8+1) = 9, 4.

It's so easy.
i.e. 2+1=3,4,5+1=6,4,8+1=9,4 (2 3 4 5 6 4 8 9 4) 4 will be repeated in between. that's the answer. Thanks.
