Initial number is 2.
2 * 2 = 4 + 2 = 6.
2 * 6 = 12 + 6 = 18.

2 * 54 = 108 + 54 = 162.

Multiply first by 2 and add to original number and the multiplied answer:
2*2=4; 2+4=6.
6*2=12; 6+12=18.
