The formula is multiply the numbers by 2 to get the next number :
2 x 3 = 6.
6 x 3 = 18.
18 x 3 = 54.
Since 54 x 3 = 162.
Therefore the answer is [C]. 162.
2 x 3 = 6.
6 x 3 = 18.
18 x 3 = 54.
Since 54 x 3 = 162.
Therefore the answer is [C]. 162.

In this series, each number multiply by 2 and addition of the same number.
2, 6, 18, 54, 162, 486, ....
Initial number is 2.
2 * 2 = 4 + 2 = 6.
2 * 6 = 12 + 6 = 18.
2 * 18 = 36 + 18 = 54.
2 * 54 = 108 + 54 = 162.
2 * 162 = 324 + 162= 486.
2, 6, 18, 54, 162, 486, ....
Initial number is 2.
2 * 2 = 4 + 2 = 6.
2 * 6 = 12 + 6 = 18.
2 * 18 = 36 + 18 = 54.
2 * 54 = 108 + 54 = 162.
2 * 162 = 324 + 162= 486.

Why it cant be 108 by logic?
2 * 3 = 6
3 * 6 = 18
6 * 9 = 54
9 * 12 = 108.
Also, 108 is given in option.
2 * 3 = 6
3 * 6 = 18
6 * 9 = 54
9 * 12 = 108.
Also, 108 is given in option.

2 x 2 = 4+2 = 6.
6 x 2 = 12+6 = 18.
18 x 2 = 36+18 = 54.
54 x 2 = 108+54 = 162.
6 x 2 = 12+6 = 18.
18 x 2 = 36+18 = 54.
54 x 2 = 108+54 = 162.

Hi. It's easy.
First, you need 3 times to each number like this.
2, 6, 18, 54.
2 * 3 = 6.
6 * 3 = 18.
18 * 3 = 54.
54 * 3 = 162.
And so on
