31 - 2 = 29,
29 - 5 = 24,
24 - 2 = 22,
22 - 5 = 17,
17 - 2 = 15.
29 - 5 = 24,
24 - 2 = 22,
22 - 5 = 17,
17 - 2 = 15.

So as per my analysis, the sequence of the numbers is;
31-29 = -2,
29-24 = -5,
24-22 = -2,
22-17 = -5,
17-15 = -2.
31-29 = -2,
29-24 = -5,
24-22 = -2,
22-17 = -5,
17-15 = -2.

I took just like this;
31 -24 = 7.
29-22 = 7.
So we had a common number 7 for the next series.
24 - 7 = 17.
22 - 7 = 15.
31 -24 = 7.
29-22 = 7.
So we had a common number 7 for the next series.
24 - 7 = 17.
22 - 7 = 15.

Here,
31-2 = 29,
29-5 = 24,
24-2 = 22,
22-5 = 17.
So, 17 - 2 = 15 => The Answer.
31-2 = 29,
29-5 = 24,
24-2 = 22,
22-5 = 17.
So, 17 - 2 = 15 => The Answer.

50 - 13 = 40.
40 - 13 = 27.
27 - 13 = 14.
40 - 13 = 27.
27 - 13 = 14.

Difference of 2 in first two digits.
Then difference of 5 in second and third digits.
The series follows the pattern 2, 5, 2, 5, and so on.
