Logical Reasoning - Letter and Symbol Series - Discussion

Discussion Forum : Letter and Symbol Series - Type 2 (Q.No. 13)
Directions to Solve
Look carefully at the sequence of symbols to find the pattern. Select correct pattern.

13.
1
2
3
4
Answer: Option
Explanation:
In this series, the figures increase the amount of shading by one-fourth and, once a square is completely shaded, starts over with an unshaded square. In the second segment, you will notice that the figure goes from completely shaded to completely unshaded. This is why choice a is the correct choice.

In 1st = no. of dark box 2.
In 2nd = no. of dark box 3.
In 3rd = no. of dark box 4.
In 4th = no. of dark box 0.
In 5th = no. of dark box 1.
In 6th = no. of dark box 2.
In 7th = no. of dark box 3.
In 8th = no. of dark box 4.
In 9th = no. of dark box 0.

Very easy please don't confuse yourself by taking it in pairs.

In the first square no.of shaded portions is 2.

If keep on writting the no of shaded portions we get the pattern as.

2, 3, 4, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4,

So then next 2 squares will have how many shaded portions?

SIMPLE 0 and 1.

HENCE OPTION A IS CORRECT.

If I am right than,
In first pair - number of black portion is 2 and 3.
In second pair - number of black portion is 4 and 0.
In third pair - number of black portion is 1 and 2.
In fourth pair - number of black portion is 3 and 4.

So
In fifth pair - number of black portion is 0 and 1.
Therefore (A) is the best option.

Observe each squares one by one.. pls dont take it as pairs.

Then, you can see the difference in shading among them.. once the square is completely shaded, it is turned into unshaded.

Then this sequence gives option 'A'.
