It is coming from decreasing to increasing and again to decreasing way like 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.

If you will continue see all figures, you will get the right answer i.e. 4.

Yes, the right option is D. In the last section, it is taken as a mirror image of the 1st section.
