Answer1: this series in continuous reverse order
as followed by CDE,IJK,LMN,OPQ hence, automatically the blank in the middle is HGF
Answer 2: You have to observe the series from starting to end they are in decreasing trend like suppose take each series 1st,2nd,3rd letter from any series like Q,N,K,H,E means -2 from the starting and +2 from reversing end

Look at the end. We have CDE FGH IJK LMN OPQ. NOW retype it in reverse order. We have answer as HGF.
