I too think Lightning must be related to brightness. As Lightning could be produced in any ways not only through electricity. But what ever Lightning we take brightness is common outcome/by product.

Lightning must be related to brightness as any kind of lightning produce brightness whether it is from thunder or electricity. I think brightness would be appropriate answer.

Only electricity is not responsible for lightning. We have other resources too, like wood, thunder etc. I think brightness is closely related lightning.
