Statement: The Central Bureau of Investigation receives the complaint of an officer taking bribe to do the duty he is supposed to.

Courses of Action:

  1. CBI should try to catch the officer red-handed and then take a strict action against him.
  2. CBI should wait for some more complaints about the officer to be sure about the matter.

Only I follows
Only II follows
Either I or II follows
Neither I nor II follows
Both I and II follow
Answer: Option
Explanation:
Clearly, one complaint is enough for a wrong doing. This should be confirmed by catching the guilty red-handed and then strict action taken against him. So, only course I follows.

@All.

The right answer should be neither of the following because the basis of the course of action is not to take strict action.

I agree with you but either he is an officer or not. He must be hand over first and then take an action against him.

What if the officer doesn't do the crime again?

Will the complaint not be considered for the crime he had already done?

As he is an officer, without investigating about the real fact how we can arrest him, unfortunately the person who has made complain against him may be his enemey, thats why he is making complain. Main thing is that he is an officer, not an ordinary person.
