Logical Reasoning - Artificial Language - Discussion

Discussion Forum : Artificial Language - Type 2 (Q.No. 10)
Directions to Solve
Translate from an imaginary language into English. Then, look for the word elements that appear both on the list and in the answer choices.

10.
Here are some words translated from an artificial language.
relftaga means carefree
otaga means careful
fertaga means careless
Which word could mean "aftercare"?
zentaga
tagafer
tagazen
relffer
Answer: Option
Explanation:
In this language, the root word taga, which means care, follows the affix (relf, o–, or fer–). Therefore, in the word aftercare, the root word and the affix would be reversed in the artificial language. The only choice, then, is tagazen, because tagafer would mean less care.

*Relf -free *taga -care = care free
Relf comes first and taga is second.

*O - ful *taga - care = careful.
Again same thing taga after 'O'.

*Fer- less *taga - care = careless.
And again same concept.

In 'aftercare' just because after means 2nd so care should be 1st so;
Care- taga comes first after taga (after -zen=tagazen).

I feel its zentaga. I agree with @Jake. If we see in most of the questions also, as per the place of the word (English word) the artificial language is arranged. So if that is the case how can we decide if "zen" must be a suffix or prefix.

I think it should be zentaga since in rest of the cases the affixes were added before the word. So it should be zen-taga.

The answer given is not necessarily right. The only point of reference to assume that "zen" must be a suffix and not a prefix is English. Just because in English the word "after" goes last, it cannot be assumed that in any other language it will too.
