Doing a work with minimum sense taking risk and time for its completion is hard work, whereas smart work means applying our Intelligence to reduce the time and risk in completion of the same work.

After complete your task when you don't feel anything achieved its hard work but when you get appreciation after complete your task its smart work. Hard work is indeed a need but without smart work its worthlessness.
