Hard work is the basis of smart work. Without hard work, no one can do smart work. Eg. If one is preparing for exams then he will go for short trick which is a smart work but for learning those tricks we have to do a lot of hard work.

Yes, it is true smart work save our time and efficiency but for this make possible he has done a lot of hard work before.

Hard work is delivering work on time with effort and smart work is delivering work on time with lesser efforts.

I Feel that is the basic difference most of the time in the corporate world, I feel a combination of both is needed to attain excellence and get success.

Hard work delivering on time with max. Effort but the smart work delivering on time with less effort. Hard work is a part of smart work. Smart work acquired skill from hard work. Hard work gives experience but smart work came from experience. Hard work consume more time and physical strength but smart work consume physical and mental strength with lesser time. I feel both are need to attain success.
