Till today from all my past experiences I have learnt that smart work is a tree and hard work is its roots without it cannot stand a chance. A person doesn't wakes up one day and become Dhoni or Warren Buffett.

Hard work means facing more and more difficulties and problems to attain something.
Smart work involves thinking many times before begining, which tends to eliminate maximum problems and difficulties.

Hard work is something we do naturally in order to achieve something.
Smart work is something that we do work but in a similar way that really takes down the stress which we get when we are in the problem.

According to me, both hard work and smart work to give the best result.
But without hard work, not possible smart work, because;
Hard work gives you experience.
Smart work comes with experience.

The result for both the work is the same but the working in both cases is different. As;
HARD WORK- Working hard self to give the result in a given time.
SMART WORK- Get the work being getting done by someone else or by much less effort by first going through all the possible ways.
