Right now I felt there is no any one parameter of success but on the other side.
Both are the keys to success to achieve of own goal as per my view both are equally important to each other and play vital roles in them & hard work gives us experience and smart work comes from experience as well.

In my opinion, hard work is when an employee invests all his time and energy to complete one particular work and on the other hand, smart work is when an employee completes his work without much effort and energy.

Hard work and Smart work is the main different "Strategies" and strategies must be based upon "Reality".
And according to me, both Hard work and Smart work give the best result as you want. But without Hard work, Smart work is not possible because hard work gives you experience and smart work comes with experience.

The success formula =hard work +smart work.
These are like the two sides of one coin. We have to balance both. Because hard work gives you experience and using that experience we can do smart work. Hard work will give you success but it will take some time. But in smart we will not sure that it will give us success.
For example; if we study the entire syllabus for the exam it takes time but it should not harm us. On the other hand, if we study only important questions there will be a chance of failure.

Sir.
According to me, Both are important in our life. Smart work gives us good salary than hard work. Smart work is a short trick. We can save time and energy with smart work. But without hard work life is nothing.

I think both of things are important in a person because smart work is done by hard work, but it should be in the right direction. We can't do start smart without hard work. These are the two sides of a coin, so both are important.

Hard work and smart work are like two sides of a coin. One must need to do both. Because smart work comes from experience and for experience we need to hard work.
