In my view, Jio will be sustainable business model in a developing country like India since there are lot of advantages with Jio-like free data upto 31st March, free calls etc. Jio also has been encouraging cashless transactions, for example, if you want to recharge your balance you can go to MyJio application available in the play store and through debit or credit card you can recharge your phone balance instead of going to the shop. Frankly speaking compared to other telecom operators Jio is also offering quality call services and high data speed at free of cost.

From the above, it can be concluded that Reliance Jio is a sustainable business model in a developing country like India.

Why should Jio be only rather be responsible for the addiction, cyber crimes and considered as a way for the wastage of time caused by youth of our country. I mean it is telecom company that is merely providing connectivity to people and making it easy for people of all sections to have access to internet data which nowadays has become a part of our day to day lives. By doing this they aren't affecting the so called ethics but are establishing a sustainable business in India. If you really think jio is solely responsible for all the cyber related crimes in India and all the ill effects you've mentioned below then why not blame the other companies who provide internet services too?!

Yes, I believe reliance JIO would definitely emerge as a sustainable business model.

1) with its advent, India faced a digital revolution.

2) people used to complain about existing infra, but with JIO atleast the digital infra is certainly going to grow up.

3) the Digital India dream of our PM would not have picked up pace unless for such a company.

4) India needs business model like JIO who can keep aside profit making agenda and without any political stunt contribute to wellbeing of society to some extent.

5) 60% villages have been laid with optical fibers after its advent. So India needs such favorable model for her constant upliftment.

Hi guys,

So for this question, I think yes Jio is sustainable model in country like India.

Now for the "how"? we have to see this from both perspective businessman and customer of India.

As business point, Ambani sir, firstly distributed JIO services for free of cost so now he has a huge number of user who is addicted. He set up platform now on which JIO is charging nominal data rates.

Now as a perspective of customer using the services of JIO in testing phase show them how reliable is JIO and using good services for too long now it is difficult for user to switch their service.

So yes JIO is sustainable model for country like India.

Of course! We have to agree to the fact that the telecom industry has undergone a great revolution after the entry of Reliance JIO. And especially in a country like India, Jio will be a sustainable business because Indians are always addicted to things that are free.

With the introduction of Jio, the majority of the population irrespective of age, have become a part of the Internet.

And access to the internet is the first major leap in the digitization of our developing nation. It's free calls and internet services have influenced Indians to a great extent, and that influence will continue to flourish in the coming years.

Hello everyone,

I think Reliance jio is definitely a sustainable business model in a country like India. As it is providing internet and call at very low cost compare to other companies, India is going digital in faster rate. As PM MODI said he wants India to become digital, both urban and rural areas, Reliance jio is playing huge role in making his dream come true.

And because of providing free and low cost internet, they are planning for the huge success in future as people get addicted to internet that they will definitely pay for that in future. By this both parties are getting benefits.

Although Reliance JIO is boon for people, it has some blind spots too. The model can not be implemented fully especially in rural areas as in country like India, there are still problems of Connectivity, Network, Speed of data etc. People having JIO sim are facing these problems at many places and it would take approx 5 years to fully furnish, so here the JIO technology fails n hence Digital India project too.

Also, every middle-class person does not have 4G smartphone. So here too JIO model fails. People would have to purchase a 4G phone, then only he/she would be able to operate JIO sim.

Yes, Reliance Jio is a sustainable model and will be profitable because,

1) By giving free data plan and voice calls it has added over 100 million Indian users.
2) Its data and call plans are cheaper than all of its competitors.
3) Many people who now understand benefits of internet will continue using it by paying.
4) Many teenagers who got addicted to free internet will start paying.
5) By introducing feature phone, Jio has played a masterstroke. The users will have to deposit 1500 rs and most of them will not claim that money after 3 years and result in huge profits for Jio.

It is very costly to the common man to afford the data charges. But now it is JIO's time. Everybody who have 4G mobiles are using this JIO sim. Mr. AMBANI is the trend setter. I'm one of the users of JIO I can surely say with out that my education will be incomplete. Because we are in the final year of B-Tech and we are in search of projects. If data is not available then it is very horrible to think. It is giving a very tight competition to the other business. Now Airtel, Vodafone are inventing new techniques like data@29/mnth. Now just think how much they received up to now.

Yes, in my opinion, Reliance jio is a sustainable business model in a country like India. We have lot of advantages to it first of all its speed and second its data rates. In many rural areas Tv and high-speed internet have not reached yet, jio took the advantage of this and now providing benefits to rural. Jio will have the first mover advantage.

If the competitors of jio start offering 4G data for cheap rates, the price advantage of jio will not exist. If that happens, the business model will not be sustainable. Jio also helping to make our country digital.
