Hi all,
Some engineering students joined in colleges due to some kind of forces from the parents. Such students may not be interested to work in their field. So, they want to divert from that path. Some students may really interested in doing MBA. They have spent much money for BE. And MBA. They want to payback to their parents. So I agree.

Doing MBA is not for the quick rush of the money. Just answer a question, do you like a high profession with low salary or low profession with high salary? an educated person gives first preference to the high profession only. In case if we get low salary after MBA, we don't disappoint much because we gain a legend skills from it.
So I don't agree with this concept.

Well, According to me the statement "the rush for MBA is really a rush for big Money" is very much correct to an extent. This is because for survival, one needs money (especially in a country with developing economy like India) and for that your need a course which can polish your skills regarding management of anything as management is very vital in every field (commerce, arts or science) therefore, you need something which can boost you mentally and financially on the whole.

MBA colleges are like retail stores now. One can find one MBA college in every corner of a road. Most of these colleges don't have good amenities and faculty.
They are deteriorating the standards of India education system. More over that the books used in these colleges are outdated and have almost zero credibility.
All I request to opt quality colleges and refer management books that has a good value for the future and learning.

No I don't think that MBA is all about making more money, the reason being that in today's scenario doing an MBA has become the need of the hour to have a growth in one's career, a plain graduate might rise up to a certain level in an organization, but to go ahead, he needs to have an MBA degree. Even a smuggler earns huge amount of money, even the person sitting in the government office has money, but there's no growth.
My conclusion would be that today there are endless ways to earn money but only few ways to have a growth in life, status and position. MBA degree can give you that growth, status and position you want in life in a dignified manner.

Folks MBA is business education and its essential to today's jobs as it helps you for your job. If you are planning to do your own business its not essential to have MBA, you can hire someone to manage your business and you should be fine. But if someone has MBA and managing his own business it may help him or her.
If you are looking at big business names they learned some sort of business management from someone in family. Continuous education in life will make you better person if you apply that education to your self development.
I wish everyone good luck as I have done my MBA and Masters in Computer Science here in USA and doing great in job because of my good education and hard work and not comparing myself to others. Everyone is different and please don't try to compare yourself to others.

Hello,
I think everyone in the world is interested in making more & more money and I don't think there is anything wrong with it. Ya many people go for MBA because of huge salary packages but there is some crowd out there who are just born out to be managers or entrepreneurs. You can look it anyway but it's always going to be helpful for the nation.

Everyone can do MBA. Not all graduation degrees help people in getting job. Some needs MBA as they are having right skills along grooming capabilities in and out of organisation. A management caters the need of engineering people. Or else to implement things with better knowledge could be engineer. An engineer can become manager. A manager can't be engineer to get high designation in company's will prefer B-Tech+ MBA.
Of course they may get good packages too with little passionate of culture MBA. And some for learning for how to make profitable organisation. This could be bit possible to make things done easy. With this combination B.Tech+MBA. Or some wants MBA to improve the job opportunities. friends.

Hello,
With due respect to thoughts of other participants, I have seen many people doing MBA, just because they have heard that MBA degree holders get huge salary packages. But that's not always true. The salary of an individual, depends on his/her own skills. The person earning big money, has good quality knowledge & management skills. Not everyone can possess this. And, just to earn big money, many people pursue MBA, regardless of having good quality knowledge about it.
Whereas, there are other people, for whom, salary doesn't matter. They are just born to be MANAGERS. Its just their attitude & dedication towards their work, which automatically leads to an increment in their salary.
