Absolutely right, that is the role of management! management is there to organize, direct, staff and study the flow of both of the business and it's people in most effective way. The business will surely be successful in a way that it continually maximized it's profit by the effectiveness of the management itself.

Obviously management is a key to profit but if we see broadly it is not the same.
There are a lot of Non-profit organisations working successfully. The examples of some of them are like- PETA, CRY. Etc.
Management= Simplifying the processes + Utilizing the resources effectively. Which at last lead to profit!.

Hi to all.. According to me management is always concentrating in profits. Whatever the business it may be their primary aim is to gain profit. The thought of service is vanished now a days. Even the service industry is looking for profits. Because we can not run a organization without profit.

In some sense management is directly related to increase the profits. As good manager is the one who can manage every problem with easiness with best possible resources available that will ultimately help the organisation in building more profits.
So management and profits are related.
So management and profits are related.

I would say that an organisation cannot sustain itself otherwise without making profit, However, it is solely the aim of a manager to direct and control resources available to maximize profit and also increase the fiscal value of that organisation (market worth).
