Dear friends I agree with your points which discussed above but on my point of view profit maximization has become a old concept for the management. The new concept is that wealth maximization which means maximization of profit as well as the value of company. Profit maximization is done by efficient utilization of resources and value of the company is obtain by corporate social responsibility like responsibility towards government society, environment etc.

Hello Friends,
I am not agreeing with the statement that the objective of management is to maximize profit. If profit maximizing is most important objective, then there is no need of management in NPO and NGO. In my opinion the objective of management is to do work properly instead of maximizing profit. If any organization starts focusing only on maximizing profit, then it is very difficult for them to sustain in business. Instead of focusing on profit, it should focus on quality management, time management and the most important cost control.

In my point of view all the organisation is running by limited resources, the proper utilization of the resource play a vital role in profit maximization. And for this management give broad view how to do a thing more effectively and efficiently.
Proper utilization of man, money material can reduce the cost of production which can directly increase the profit of the organisation.
Controlling from the deviation of path is also an effective tool of the management for before acing the loss.

Absolutely right, that is the role of management! management is there to organize, direct, staff and study the flow of both of the business and it's people in most effective way. The business will surely be successful in a way that it continually maximized it's profit by the effectiveness of the management itself.

I think that the prime motto of management is profit. I have heard a phrase that "time is money", so to run any organization time management is the key for the overall combined efforts of all the departments. I would like to mention that one of the biggest resource for getting optimum profit is to use the waste products.

Obviously management is a key to profit but if we see broadly it is not the same.
There are a lot of Non-profit organisations working successfully. The examples of some of them are like- PETA, CRY. Etc.
Management= Simplifying the processes + Utilizing the resources effectively. Which at last lead to profit!.

Hi to all.. According to me management is always concentrating in profits. Whatever the business it may be their primary aim is to gain profit. The thought of service is vanished now a days. Even the service industry is looking for profits. Because we can not run a organization without profit.
