I think no.

Nota is only waste of the right to vote.
Nota means a doll in the hand of fools.
If in a constituency the no. Of total vote is 100 and 80 people vote for Nota and rest 20 vote are devided in two candidates getting 12 and 8 votes respectively, then the candidate who got 12 votes will win.

It means the total 80 vote get waste.

It's a bad concept. There will be no meaning of democracy in such system.

Hello.

I'm Abdul, obviously, according to my opinion, there must be a NOTA option in EVM machine, because sometimes if the people think no candidate is right for our country And nation. They can press the Nota option And it is seen that some people don't vote just because they don't find a corrupt candidate. If there is More than 75%vote are given to NOTA then will be reelection and other candidates get a chance because the main cause is the candidate Not good And didn't do well. Many candidates want to destroy our country And their living people. Such that our political party are doing corruption nowadays. So, the best choice is NOTA for the people And NOTA is A good way for voting.

Hello Everyone,

The idea if having a NOTA option is a very interesting one. It will not only relieve us from selecting candidates whom we don't really want to but also give the Government an outlook of what the citizens are expecting is not satisfied by the nominated candidates. Just because we will have a NOTA option people will at least come forward to vote and not sit back wasting their votes. Not just NOTA the government should also bring up a policy that if the percentage of NOTA votes in award exceeds 50% or so, The nominated candidates must be changed.

Yes, I agree with this. Because from many years the campaign by the political leaders was like traditional marketing. They started to think that what they present, people will choose. But in the soul of heart of the people was not interested to accept this type of politics but they had no chance. So most of them started to neglect to vote. Therefore, the democracy started became weak. But now when people have the chance to vote obviously for nobody but for democracy. So, the voters should be given a NOTA.

No need of that in fact if someone doesn't want to give a vote for candidates why should he go for voting.

No, NOTA should not be given according to my point of view. NOTA is simply waste of vote, if a person is selecting NOTA then that person is equivalent to that person who doesn't go for VOTING resulting wastage of vote in both cases.

Today topic should voters be given nota Choice?

I would say yes. India is a democratic country means "everyone has the equal right to elect their leader". We also have the right to choose the person whom we want to be the leader. If the desired person criteria will not meet with the given options, then the NOTA option must be there. It indirectly will prove that those people who are standing in the election, must have some fault.

For instance, if NOTA option will not be there, then we have to select any one option (maybe the person whom we don't want to elect). These minor things will definitely lead our country's future to an unpredictable state.

NOTA option must be there.

Thank you.

Hi this is Samyuktha.

Thanks for giving a chance to me friends. In my point of view, the NOTA giving option to the elections is best choice for the people.

By choosing the option of NOTA the people wanting the democracy ruling.

For example: if two candidates are in elections so the people are not interested in both of them so they can select the option of NOTA.

Some people are fed up with the caste based ruling system parties in A.P. So they want to select the best option NOTA.

But the leaders makes that the votes of NOTA considering as invalid votes.

Our political are making corruption now-a-days by electing them as leaders. So the best choice for the people is NOTA.

So I conclude that voting to NOTA is the best option for the people so government take necessary steps.

To take the votes as valid votes of them.

I don't think NOTA is a viable solution at this stage of Indian development.

1. Even an ordinary election requires a huge lot of effort, time and load some of the capital to campaign, manage and run the electoral process effectively. NOTA might result in null and void results putting all the resources in vain.

2. The main AIM of NOTA is approval of best candidature. Every community wants to be represented by the best themselves. A fair part of Indian society would never be unanimous about the approval of the 'perfect' candidate. Hence, NOTA will result in unfavourable results, most of the time.

3. The outcomes of NOTA will create the governance issue. In case of cancelled elections, the problems caused in the interim will be quite debatable at times.

4. The re-election due to NOTA will not always guarantee maximum participation of the common man. They are expected to decrease with re-election for every turn.

5. Instead of implementing NOTA strategy per say, bars should be put on the candidature selection process by adopting fair practices like minimum educational qualification, clean judicial record etc. To ensure the best candidate to come up in the elections.

Implementing NOTA right now is a non-feasible solution for the betterment of Indian Politics for now. Other alternate ways need to be suggested.
