Today topic should voters be given nota Choice?

I would say yes. India is a democratic country means "everyone has the equal right to elect their leader". We also have the right to choose the person whom we want to be the leader. If the desired person criteria will not meet with the given options, then the NOTA option must be there. It indirectly will prove that those people who are standing in the election, must have some fault.

For instance, if NOTA option will not be there, then we have to select any one option (maybe the person whom we don't want to elect). These minor things will definitely lead our country's future to an unpredictable state.

NOTA option must be there.

Thank you.

First of all I would like to appreciate election commission for introducing this option. My main purpose is to add the value of this option (ie. NOTA). In case votes casted towards this option are to be treated as rejected votes, then using of this option has no use. As per my opinion the results of this option must have solid wattage. In the long run the definition of democracy has been changed by some selected politicians. The real definition of democracy was treating equally to every citizen of the state. Thus, states of democracy were considered as soverign states. Now the democracy has been changed to dictatorship (biorocracy). I feel that option NOTA provided by election commission in the bottom of electronic vellot paper will improve the structure of democracy, if it is used and accessed with letter and spirits.

I think NOTA is a better way to prove democracy in India but in some terms, it is lagging. Even if 99 votes are for NOTA out of 100 and 1 vote is for the candidate X, then X is declared the winner. In India, firstly people are not even aware of NOTA and even if they are, votes to NOTA are counted as "invalid votes". There could be the real use of NOTA in a democracy only when the candidates are disqualified after majority votes are cast to NOTA and the re-elections take place with new candidates because citizens have already disapproved of the existing candidates. THAT WOULD MAKE INDIA DEMOCRATIC IN REAL SPIRIT!

According to me, Nota is make for that people who have no option to choose best candidate in their place but it's drawback also that in India corrupt candidates win election because people use Nota.

In my point of view, the voter has a basic right to vote for NOTA because everybody has their own priority.

The person who chooses a leader who has the ability to make the growth of our nation is good for our country but at the same time choosing a leader who had jealous of money was not fit so NOTA is correct.

Hello everyone.

According to me, I would say that having nota for an election as an option is really good idea, if suppose there are the other two parties in the election to whom the voter if suppose doesn't adjust to the idealogy of that respective parties, But forcing him or her self to vote any one among them is like not having the right to freedom of speech and expression, but having nota as an option really provides the voters their rights of expression, giving them mental satisfaction.

Hello everyone!

Today our discussion topic is should voters be given a NOTA choice?

Some favourable facts are.

1. For increasing the vote percent it is very beneficial because many voters think none of the candidate are suitable for the post, so the can press nota.

2. Analysis of the bad or good candidate in a particular region is easily done by calculating nota percentage.

3. Aggression of public on the government is also show by democratic way by giving nota option.

4. Your vote power is not in other hands, if you are note give the votes, there are many cases on the basis of your name vote is given to a particular Candidate.

Some unfavorable facts are.

1. Nota votes are like a waste in dustbin, no matter how much percent nota votes are ?

After subtracting nota votes which candidate is in majority wins easily. Means nota have no power so why government make fool by given nota. (except Maharashtra).

2. If there are no provisions after calculating nota percentage it is not benificial.

Hello friends.

In my point, I say that nota is just for wasting our time. Because many give money to people and they get money, for getting the money we can put a vote in nota.

Nota is not the best option for the people to show their own aggression. Today we all are living in a democratic country. If we put their importance in nota it's only a waste of time. We must have to choose a candidate which do for the welfare of our country. We have to think over that if we have the power to choose him then don't forget we can reject him also.
