Hello friends,
Smoking is one of the leading cause of preventable death in the India and doing it in public is even worse.
Because smokers not only harm themselves but also those around them.
Many smokers think they could do whatever they want because it is their body, but to me, their right end where my health begins. I believe that smoking should be banned.
Thank you.

Hello,
We all know that smoking is very dangerous to us and our family members but instead of this maximum population of India especially youth like to smoke. Even teenagers are also doing this habit. According to the report, more than 85% of the Indian population have this habit and about 30000 people die every year. So smoking should be banned in India and it also has an unnecessary burden on one's Pocket. Due to which his family is totally disturbed.
I think these are the best reasons for banning of cigarettes in India.

According to me, smoking should not be banned or it can never be banned in India as there are many smokers in India and it is a commodity which contributes in large sum revenue generation. By banning smoking will increase smuggling of cigarettes in black market and no tax collection can be possible. Rather than banning, government should take serious steps for control of smoking like:
1. Increase in tax for cigarettes or any other materials related to smoking.
2. Testing of every brand should be done to reduce nicotine and other hazardous substances in commodities related to smoking.
3. Local brands and manufacturers should be banned from the production of bad and cheap quality products.
4. Like liquor it should be sold by government-licensed shops, this will decrease consumption.
5. Use of cigarettes in movies should be banned as it promotes smoking in teenagers after they see that their hero is smoking in an attitude.
So, rather than banning, strict rules should be made like liquor. By banning there will be a loss of lakhs of employment related to smoking industry.

Hello.
I don't think so that smoking should be banned. Every human has his own rights. If a person wants to smoke for relief he must have complete freedom for that. Smokers are mature persons. They are completely aware of the harmful effects of smoking. Besides that, tobacco industry generates huge revenue. There are also many harmful products like soft drinks, chocolate ice cream should they also be banned? In the end, I want to say that smoking shouldn't be banned but it should be regulated.

Hi.
I'm Rahul.
Smoking cause cancer. Not only the person who is smoking. The people who are going near a person while smoking they may inhale the smoke air. They may say to be passive smokers. Likewise, the warning is given in the cigarette packet but the better idea has banned this product for the people's wealth.
Thank you.

Hello, readers.
Smoking cigarettes should be banned completely in my opinion. But I do not think that we would ever get rid of this. What we can do is to avoid ourselves from this norm. In almost every country manufacturing of cigarettes is done on the commercial level, governments allow companies to establish factories so that that it could gain lots of profits and impose taxes in order to fill their pockets with money. Same is the case with the companies who manufacture and sell alcoholic drinks and government pass their bills so these companies could establish the whole lot of factories. If we are to get rid of this nuisance, collective efforts are required to be made each of small and large level. Our politicians need to pass strong bills and the law should take it's due course to stop these brands in order to not establish factories and manufacture this poison. But I hope that it could happen till then individual efforts are needed to be made by us and we should prevent ourselves from smoking cigarettes. Thank you.

Hello friends,
Myself Rahul,
According to my opinion smoking should be banned because it creates lots of diseases for ex. -lung cancer. Mainly it depends upon our mental condition whether we should make habit it or not. When we buy a packet of cigarette, a serious note is mentioned that "smoking is injurious to health". Even in a movie theater, at the time of starting of the movie a disclaimer is flashed that "dhumrapan parega mehnga". Because of smoking large no. Of population are suffering from a number of diseases.
Sometimes it seems logically cool that most of the revenue generated in India from smoking. After china, India is in 2nd position. However, it should not be banned rather we can control ourself not to smoke or quit smoke. That's all. Ok.

According to my point of view, smoking should be ban, here it's not about money it's about someone life which is destroying these days.
And it also not about that particular person but all family member who is connected with him.
It may be possible there is only one person who is feeding their family but due to this, he had no more life.
Its seem logically cool that it shouldn't be banned because of revenue but when it comes to us personally then we come to know about the importance of life. Youth is more addicted towards tobacco which is the big question mark about our future of India.

Smoking doesn't need to be banned but should be regulated instead.
India is the second largest tobacco market after China, over 120 million Indians smoke.
Bidi covers almost 85% of the smoking market.
The problem with banning is the loss of the revenue obtained in the form of taxes and loss of employment to people depending on this industry.
Moreover, the world bank recommends a taxing of 65-85% when it comes to tobacco products which are a mere 4% in case of bids and 40% in case of cigarettes in India.
Banning would simply lead to black marketing and loss of taxes which we have already faced in case of Pan Masala and Gutka products.
So increasing the taxes to the standard rates will increase the revenue and would regulate the smoking to some extent.

Hi friends,
In my opinion, smoking shouldn't be completely banned. Because lacs of people is still working in a tobacco co. & manage their family. We can't ban it not only for our benefit but also think for others. So, if we want to avoid this then we should be careful & control ourselves.
