Hi All,

I feel that the one-child policy is more suitable for a developed nation like the USA and not for India, as we are still in the developing phase of growth. Maybe after a few years from now we will think of this policy.

Although we are currently no 1 in population at the same time we must know that youth has a major role in the development of the country. Hence "Hum do and humare do" would be a nice version of the one-child policy and it will also balance the sex ratio of the country.

Hello guys,

In my point of view, "should India have one child policy" is totally wrong thinking because we know that the major development of the country is totally dependent on youngsters, it is no doubt that the development of the country also depends on unskilled people, half skilled human etc but if we reduce the birth rate then the number of youngsters also decreases and finally, we conclude that the development rate in any sector also decreases and it harms our economy.

Hello friends,

Myself Suriyabalaji,

In my point of view, One child policy is not the best solution to reduce India's population. We all know that India is the second most populous country in the world, but according to the world population review, India fertility rate ranks at number 94.

So, in my opinion, some other steps can be taken to reduce the population because One child policy may bring so many negative effects such as selective sex abortions, gender imbalance etc.

No, in my opinion I think India should not have a single child policy as we need betterment in many areas such as healthcare, security, safety, agriculture, technology, architecture, etc. So, I think that by implementing the 1 child policy are problem will be no where near it's solution, so further on I would like to say that sometimes a single child can also experience loneliness and depression. So, according to me, the single child policy should not be in forced.

Rather than following one child India should follow not more than two-child policy. As we know India is the seventh-largest and second-largest country in the terms of area and population so it requires huge manpower in the fields like defence medical and politics.

Also, a single boy doesn't know the values and love of his siblings. Indian parents are also depending on their children after the sixties.

So, India should follow not more than two-child policy.

Hello everyone.

As per my opinion, India is not ready for the one-child policy because I think they won't follow it because of a lack of awareness. Firstly, it is important to aware people especially in rural areas, should know about the consequences and the result of population growth. Also, India is the second-largest country in terms of population which means a lot of people that is why just initiating policy can't be a proper solution.

Hello friends.

My opinion about the one child policy is, this should not be implemented because India is culturally very diverse and having strong belief towards their religion, which can intensify the resentment of people for the govt, as we are aware about the case of forceful sterilization in 1976.

Yes, the govt should satisfactory used the preventive method to make the people aware about family planning, education, and contraceptives.

According to me, I think the government should work in all dimensions.

1. The imposition of 1 child policy for the next five years.
2. Spreading awareness as well as adequate knowledge on family planning and contraceptive methods.
3. Shaping the current young population in a skillful manner i.e. in a constructive way.
4. Imposing 2 child policy for the next 5 years after the upward mentioned rules were followed.

Hello, guys hope you all doing great.

Now, coming to the topic "should India have a one-child policy".
I don't think this policy should apply in India.
Because our constitution doesn't implement this type of forcible ideas.
Because this is the personal thought and nation duty for any individual.
So if we wanna implement this rule or policy the nation should also support us.
That's all from my side thank you.

Yes, I think India should strictly have to follow this rule of one child policy just to control the population of our country and also the main thing was to utilise all the resources easily if the population can be controlled so there will never face any problems like the stagnation of the resources I think Indian government should badly implement this and think about that matter for the better economy.
