As we are all aware of that, India is now on the 1st number in the list of population. So, in my opinion, the government should apply this one-child policy. So, that we can also control our population through this. But I would like to add a point on this as we all know a sibling is so important for everyone so India can implement a 2 children policy.

Yes, I believe that India should have a child policy because we are in the first position in population so we can control it but in my point of I agree with the point of Shalini that the government Should adopt at least a two-child policy it will also control the population.

I think 2 child policy would be more suitable as people prefer male children over female children which can cause a wide gap in the sex ratio in the country.

For me the current policy “hum do hum are do” is good for the present situation but in the next 5 to 6 years this should be applied to each and every citizen of our country because now we have crossed China in terms of population with fewer amounts of land and economy from them.

For me, our future generations will be at war for land.

Yes, I think India should strictly have to follow this rule of one child policy just to control the population of our country and also the main thing was to utilise all the resources easily if the population can be controlled so there will never face any problems like the stagnation of the resources I think Indian government should badly implement this and think about that matter for the better economy.

I feel that the one-child policy is more suitable for a developed nation like the USA and not for India, as we are still in the developing phase of growth. Maybe after a few years from now we will think of this policy.

Although we are currently no 1 in population at the same time we must know that youth has a major role in the development of the country. Hence "Hum do and humare do" would be a nice version of the one-child policy and it will also balance the sex ratio of the country.

In my point of view, Yes, India should adopt a single-child policy, as this day is India’s number one in population point of view adopting single child policy, the first child standard of education, the standard of health care, and a great balance of life could be maintained. If more than one child is in any family then this will lead to dividing the whole wealth into two parts. So the single-child policy is beneficial in all points of view.

I am Harsh Ghosh, And I want to start the group discussion with completely disagreeing on the matter "Should India have a One Child Policy?".

As the matter of fact It posses serious threat to girl child as most family would want to have a boy to continue their legacy or inherit their possessions. And also support in them in their old days. But with one child that being a girl child, they may become insecure and my consider "FOETICIDE".

Certainly this policy would help in population control but the sex ratio would extremely disturbed.

In my opinion, India should not adopt a one-child policy as we know India is no.1 in population and most of them are youth and youth have a major role in the development of our country first the one-child policy started in China and many people kill their girl child or having an abortion they only want one boy child and in India without the one-child policy, many people don't want a girl child so that's why India should adopt two child policy rather than one child policy so our country developed and maintained the population as well.
