In a country is already plagued with the capital shortage, it would always be prudent to open certain sector of public utilities for better service even if it costs more. Such services can be segregated in different 2-3 economic zones depending upon the paying capacity of the consumer so that no economic class is deprived of the facility though the comfort level will depend on the penny in the pocket.

Road transport, railway transport, shipping and airways transport, among all road transport is the largest in India.
So a decision should be taken which help out both the poor 1's as well as the government so that it doesn't harm our economy and it increase the per ca-pita income and value of goods.
And private sectors, if given the transport facilities then they should even pay for it in a good amount so that, again transport should come out with a good revenue outcome.
So I feel govt should be in-charge of all the transport of all goods and services.

Hello friends.
From my point of view the important services like transport should be implemented in faster way. The government should have joint venture with private sector so that he work will be complete in faster way. The government should get technological support from the private sector. The technical development will lead the transportation I the modern way as the world is running in the faster way.
I will say 3 points to support free market in transportation.
1. Work will be complete in short time.
2. Public will get get benefited because in free market to sustain the private sector will do their project perfectly.
3. We will get modern transport with good technological work.
