All of them are worse. If animals will not be used for testing drugs then on whom we can't take or risk the lives of many people. Moreover drugs are tested mostly on rats whose population will never end. They reproduce in unfavorable conditions also.

I believe that animal testing at one point could of been acceptable. Now though, when they have alternate methods that are more accurate, I see no reason to continue this torturing and killing of animals. Their are plenty of tests out there now making it possible to test with great accuracy without even having an animal present.

Why don't people use that then? The big corporations are greedy and will choose the cheapest method. Even if it could lead to a possible lawsuit when the inaccuracy of the test makes the product fail in the real world.

Hi every one.

I agree with this. If animals are the right to live. Then why we kill and eat them. We kill animals for our food. Even though there is other options like vegetables, eggs etc. We can live without meat products. Then also we kill animals for food. If we can use animals as our food, then why can't be it is used as testing medicines. We can't test new medicines in humans. So if it is for good for all human world. Definitely we can use animals for testing.

Animals could not be used for testing new drugs because many of these experiments cause pain to the animals involved or reduce their quality of life in other ways. If it is morally wrong to cause animals to suffer then experimenting on animals produces serious moral problems.

It causes suffering to animals the benefits to human beings are not proven any benefits to human beings that animal testing does provide could be produced in other ways also.

It is cruel How would you like to be tested on drugs that could be poisonous and kill you or make you feel like being sick? I think its cruel to lock animals up in cages and feed them drugs. If your that desperate to see if the drug is toxic or not you should try the drug yourself.

In the developing world there are new medicines and drugs are produced by leaps and bounds. Experts used animals for testing drugs and medicine it is totally wrong. If we have right to live. Animals should have also right to live. God has created us equally. So be intelligent and understood. Don't kill animals.

First of all without animal testing there would be about 35% less humans in the world, and animal testing is alright because the animals used are easily replaced such as rats and birds. You must realize that humans consume over 80% more pigs, cattle, and chickens then animals that are used for testing.

Over 340 pigs are consumed for every one animal tested on. Though I admit that animals may have emotions and a consciousness, but you must remember without animal testing a lot of drugs, shampoos, toothpastes, and MANY other products you use everyday you would not have. Also you must remember that in testing dogs, cats and other more domesticated animals are not used. Rats, birds, and rarely chimps (monkeys) are used for testing.

All of us has given our point of view and all of us are thinking that whatever we wrote or whatever we think is totally right. But I want to question, one, who wrote that animals should not be used for medicinal purposes. The person who support this statement, what are you thinking?

If we would not utilize animals for the development of new medicines then how would we able cure the spreading diseases. If we would not utilize animals then on whom shall we do experiments? I think you all don't even realize that we the humans consume more animals than animals used for testing.

Using animals for testing new drugs is completely wrong! how would you like it if some strange animal came up to you, brought you to a strange workshop and forced you to eat unseen things? - maybe food!
