Hello friends.

In my point of view, laboratory experiment on animals is not a good thing because most of the animals are suffered from pain during testing but in the other hand, we have no more alternative to deal with new disease so it is our compulsion to test with animals. Our scientists should search for some more alternatives for testing after that we can protect animal's life. We should not forget that we are completely dependent on animals. And we have no right to take someone's life because it is in the hand of God to give and take life. Life means life whether human or animal both are of equal importance. When we feel the pain we can show our pain by crying but animals are not. And if we forcefully do tests on them, then it is against our spirit.

I believe that it is completely wrong for us humans to test drugs on animals however we must understand that animals feel a lot of pain.

The problem with all of this is that if we don't test the drugs then what are we supposed to test it on? the only other thing that we can test it on is humans but then again, what would you rather do. Save a life of a person or save a life of an animal? rats have a very very similar immune system as humans. Therefore, they are the only good thing we could use test thing to prevent bowel cancer. We then would know whether the things when eat are good for our immune system by seeing the results of the rats and the way they reacted to it. Therefore, I am still unsure whether testing drugs on animals should be carried out.

Hello everyone.

One point is very clear from the discussion is that killing for is not at all right. Who are we to take away the life of these innocent creatures. The next point arises is that what second option do we have. At present we don't have the solution for this problem. Using animals for drug test is inhuman but science has not evolved much that it can provide a solution. Soon may be a better option will be available to us.

Coming back to the point that animals should be used for testing drugs or not. I think if its the only option available then it should be done in a limited way. Humans are top in the food cycle and for surviving, depends on the lower rank animals. Its the natures rule. Hope, situation will change soon with a better option.

First of all, without animal testing, there would be about 35% less humans in the world, and animal testing is alright because the animals used are easily replaced such as rats and birds. You must realize that humans consume over 80% more pigs, cattle, and chickens then animals that are used for testing.

Over 340 pigs are consumed for every one animal tested on. Though I admit that animals may have emotions and a consciousness, but you must remember without animal testing a lot of drugs, shampoos, toothpaste, and MANY other products you use every day you would not have. Also, you must remember that in testing dogs, cats, and other more domesticated animals are not used. Rats, birds, and rarely chimps (monkeys) are used for testing.

As we know everything has it's pros and cons both. In the same way, testing drugs on animal also has it's pros and cons. When scientist prepares drugs they have to test it and animals are the best substitute of humans to test the drugs which can be used further for the treatment of humans, animals have similar cells of human body and we can see the results how actually drug is going to react but after testing drugs animals are killed and even sometimes reaction on animals is not the same as the reaction in humans so it is not always beneficial and accurate to test the drug. It will be good if scientists find another substitute for testing the drug so that there will be no need of killing animals after testing drugs on them.

I think its a ruthless way. The greatness and efficiency of any experiment lies not only in how efficiently its carried out but also how ethically its approached. Since science and technology is taking shape day by day, I hope man can definitely find out a way to work in an alternate method. I never understand why people fail to understand that animals too have something called emotions. Just because they are superior to man doesn't mean they have to be sacrificed for the development of human society. I agree its not advisable to set human life under risk, but a point can be made out that these experiments can be conducted on prisoners who are kept in prisons to be executed.

According to some people drug testing on animals is fine because " its not a big loss to lose them" well would you like it if some clinic needed to test a drug on dogs and they took your precious pet? It is a big loss to lose them because every animal counts. What has our society turned into? Taking innocent animals and giving them drugs to see if there's a reaction? Come on! But we can't just write on some website saying "this is bad, and all of you should be ashamed". Actually we are all guilty of this because we are the ones who support these companies by buying their products. So we have typed what we think needs to be done, but who will actually take action?

I think animals should be used for testing purpose the reason behind is if we humans can make new drugs for curing more number of disease only then we can save the life of our parents, relatives, and animals obviously. Think smart doesn't be emotional.

If we think that animal should not be treated for testing then just think of our belongings dying in front of us and us humans unable to do anything to save their life. And remember at the time we the humans saves the life of an injured animal lying on the road by taking them to the nearest hospital. We provide food to them at times. We humans love animals that are the only reason we them pets.

Good evening friends.

In my point of view killing animals is not cruel thing. Medicines are made and must be tested with some living organism so that it would not affect humans. Diseases like cancer, TB. Etc are prevented with the help of these tested drugs. So it is happiest thing in our lives. I have read few above comments some are criticizing of killing animals. I will Obey with this but for eg. , if we go restaurant, we are getting non-veg and having it. That time you will not feel it as animal?

So I conclude, All are creatures only but for some creatures they have their own fulfillment in life. Every creature is meant for something.
