Hi,

My name is Kevin Johnson. I agree with the statement that problems unite us because if we did not have problems, people would never get to know each other and we would not be able to practice our values of sharing and caring for each other. As far as Religion is concerned, it was made by humans. The main purpose of every religion is to guide and make all of us better human beings. Every religion instills in us the values of compassion, sharing, and caring. Only through politics, we can see that leaders use religion to divide us.

Hi everyone.

It's great to be a part of this wonderful group discussion.

I agree with the statement, and as many said its tru,e but has anyone seen religion dividing people?

If you ask people something like "hey, if you are Hindu stick to that problem (e.g traffic, pollution, etc.) and if muslim stick to that problem, then they must unite and stand still without worrying about the fact. Now tell me which one has united the people and which one separated. I mean, maybe problems united, but still, religion has a deeper root.

I agree with the statement "problem unites us "but not the statement religion divides us. Any religion teaches us how to behave with others how to live with others, and most importantly how to respect other religions. So I think that Religion doesn't divide us.

And if we see the First statement that That problem unites us let's take the example of our family if any big problem is there then our family comes with unite. And find a solution for that. So, I conclude that " Problems unite us, but not the Religion divides us. ".

My name is Rahulsai.

Yes, I agree problems unite us and religion divide us. For example, two friends of different religions will face the problem together. My opinion is when there is an terrorist attack or any natural disaster like storm occurs the people help victims of the same religion or different religion.

But they are divided in their religion, because due to their customs or their beliefs. But any religion says the same principles in different ways.

Thanks for giving this opportunity to express my thoughts.

I agree with the fact that religion divides us. It is in human nature to feel insecure about themselves, and their community. This insecurity leads the person to think that their community is in minority and the people adhering to other religions may impact their beliefs and cultures and thus knowingly or unknowingly religion tends to divide us. Whereas in case of any problem, different people come on board to provide their creative solutions to the problem and this coming together on a single stage leads to unity.

I also support the statement that problems unite us and religion divides us:

We can see its example in the recent Gaza - Palestine attack where hundreds of hostages and people were killed and many need to be displaced where people help them worldwide by sending them money or helping them or by posting this issue on social media where thousands of people are aware of it.

Religion divides us when politics adds its twist to it. Then we see communal riots or when the government only prefer one religion over another.

I would like to share my thoughts on the topic is "Problems unite us-religion divide us".

I strongly believe that problems unite us, because in many situations, people come together to help each other even people from different religions also, like in pandemic situations everyone helps each other by sharing food, water, shelter and also In recent Pahalgam attack, one of the Muslim guy come forward to help Hindus with his wholehearted. But unfortunately, he left us. So, I believe that problems unite any religion.

Yes, it's true that humans always unite while facing problems why should we go far in India itself at that period when Indians are suffering from great depression all the Indians united and send the Britishers back.

But I don't know why people are so sensitive in the name of religion I belong to a Hindu family but along with Chalisa and Artis I know to read namaz and I really love to know about different religions because every religion teaches something good.

So we should respect all and live united.

Hi.

Problems unite us is true and it shows the humanity is alive inside us. People come forward to help each other and at that time religion is not considered. At the need of time its our unity which gives help and strength to the needy.

Religion is not for dividing, its a way of living and each and every religion should be respected. In all the religious books we learn the same lesson and it teaches us that we all are child of one god and therefore we should never discriminate on basis of religion.

So, I agree with this topic.

We have seen that during covid pandemic people from different religions helped everyone they can irrespective of their religion. They didn't see whether the person was of their own religion or not. This literally shows problems do unite us.

Religion divides us knowingly or unknowingly. In a very recent incident, we have seen how some Muslim people got beaten up because of entering Dandia night during Navratra. So somehow religion became the reason for that incident.
