The youth of India is a complex and dynamic entity, and the answer to whether they are confident or confused is not a simple one.
On one hand, Indian youth are exposed to a wide range of opportunities, and they are increasingly confident in their ability to succeed.
With the country's growing economy and technological advancements, young Indians are more connected to the world than ever before.
However, this exposure also brings its own set of challenges. The youth of India are struggling to balance their traditional values with the influence of Western culture. This can lead to confusion and uncertainty about their place in the world.
Additionally, the pressure to succeed in a competitive job market and the weight of societal expectations can also contribute to feelings of confusion and self-doubt.
Factors Contributing to Confusion:
- Cultural Identity Crisis: Struggling to balance traditional values with Western influence.
- Pressure to Succeed: Competitive job market and societal expectations.
- Lack of Clear Goals: Uncertainty about career paths and life choices.
- Influence of Social Media: Unrealistic expectations and comparisons.
Factors Contributing to Confidence:
- Growing Economy: Increasing opportunities and access to resources.
- Technological Advancements: Improved connectivity and access to information.
- Education and Skills Development: Investing in human capital and developing skills.
- Supportive Environment: Encouragement from family, friends, and mentors.
Ultimately, the youth of India are a diverse and dynamic group, and their experiences and emotions cannot be reduced to a simple label.
While some may be confident and self-assured, others may be struggling with confusion and uncertainty.

Hello friends, this is Ayushi Shrivastava.
I personally feel that youth of India is confident about doing something out of the box but at the time she is confused how to. As we all know there is cutthroat competition especially in India where the ratio of jobs in govt sector as compared to no. Of people participating is merely 1%. Same is the case with any competitive exam.
Also, any young person wants to stand out in whatever she pursues without realising whether it is something according to her interests! This is what we call "peer pressure". Youth follow their friends, their known relatives who have outshined in their careers Youth make them their role models and blindly try to copy their roadmap of success without noting that this may be something that they are not made for. So, it can be concluded that the youth is confused about their careers.
Sometimes, the scenario might be something else. Let me share my story with you. I m a final year CSE student. I have worked hard for gate exam for the last 3/2 years. But now I have lost touch with the gate for 1 month. I didn't code much because that was not required in the gate. But now I have decided to code as well. Because it may get me a good campus placement. I was very confused what to do. But finally, I saw the light and thought of killing 2 birds with 1 stone. This is nothing but a severe change in my strategy for cracking gate but I m now confident that my decision is right! And yes, this is not influenced by any form of peer pressure, it's my own independent decision!
So, guys, take your decisions on your own. Don't let anyone take control over your thought process. We are youth and we are supposed to be confident and supporting the nation. Jai Hind!

Indian youth is confused because the traditional education system is academics oriented. If a child is interested in Environmental Studies, he will devote his time to that subject and its research. But due to exams, he is continually under the pressure of scoring well, so that he can be promoted to a higher class. Doing what you despise is the worst job ever. The ways to nurture a child for his overall development, keeping in mind his innocence can be learnt from orphanages and various NGOs out there. Every child's dream is recognized there. We can't expect anything from the Government, they are just a group of people, solely in love with power, and money. Can a mark sheet decide our future, our examination was our Past, who knows our inner talent & skills in Present? Parents are not to be blamed, they have surrendered themselves to the current scenario; for admission in a good college, you require good marks, for getting jobs in a good company, you require a good college. And this can only happen when you have excelled in academics in your school.
Coming to the solution, Schools should be FREE from EXAMS. Children should not be burdened with unnecessary judgements because of marks. There should be assignments, but which only focus on learning, not marks. Youth must not be pressurized, must feel free to do what they really like, libraries and educational portals should be promoted. Seminars can be arranged by school authorities, about various careers, social problems, and how to make this world a better place.
And everyone should work on this-parents, teachers, even everyone participating in this discussion.
Because "if we want a better society, we must start from the Children".

Hello Everyone,
'We Cannot Always Build A Future For Our Youth, But We Can Always Build Our youth For The Future. '.
The youth, I would say, is equally confident and confused. After all, such is life, a painting of many shades and not just two opposites of black and white standing in contradiction to one another.
The same boy who wants to become a footballer and is willing to sacrifice a lot and is striving towards that goal could be dealing with confusion over whether his sacrifices and his hard work will pay off, or whether he'll become another footnote among the many who have failed to attain their goals, and eventually fallen by the wayside as life has gone on.
There are many students who are confused about what path to take in life after their high school years are done " the result of a lack of career guidance and proper counselling in schools. Then there are others who are confident in their abilities, have done well throughout their academic years, and want to take the next step towards an international education or job, but are confused whether they will get their money's worth and appropriate return on investment. Despite being confident in their abilities, they are unsure whether external factors will work in their favor, because if they don't, all their confidence and hard work will be for naught.
However, at the end of the day, the youth are optimists, the purveyors of hope, the dreamers of far-flung dreams, and it is better to be confident and work hard, than confused and floundering. So go, drink on the river of confidence, sleep under the canopy of hopeful stars, and build a world where dreams come true. Believe,
Thank you.

I think they are both. Many are confused with a very few fully confident. Now, the question is what really are they confused about. There are many examples such as they are not sure whether they will hit their target or not, whether they will achieve what they want to be in their life or not whether they will fulfill their parent's expectation or not and etc. Large population is also assumed to be one of the reason, due to which competition has increased among them so much that one person has become enemy of next. Terrorism is also contributing towards it. With several cases, people do not consider their country to be safe so they want to settle down in foreign. The list is never ending and human beings have unlimited needs.
Now we need to mull over what are the reasons behind their insecurity. No single person can be blamed for this. A recent survey led by HT showed that more than 78 percent of people did not trust their government regarding several policies. Many were even not sure whether they will reside in their own country or not after 5 years. And demonetisation further increased their anxiety. With government implementing without prior information, many considered government as unreliable.
So, now the question is what is required to reduce their insecurities. The government should be more interactive with all its citizens. Common people should be given chances to suggest their own methodologies tackle any difficult situation. The government needs to be more transparent and accountable to public. Then only any government can build trust among its people and people can live in their own country peacefully without any confusion.

According to me, if given proper guidance and support, the youth of India will definitely become more confident. But the problem lies in the roots of our education (I.E) after passing class 10th student's need to choose the first step towards their professional education (I.E) they need to choose their career in science, commerce or arts, and in today's era also students and their parent's have the misconception that if they choose science over commerce or arts they will have a better future, actually choosing science as your stream becomes the matter of proud for few parents, and as a teenager student's believe that the subject which makes their parents feel proud might hold some greater value in future, but in between all this rush of choosing your path of long career students and parents avoid one basic thing that what is the wish of a student, what is his/her field of interest and in which field they can accomplish more. Students should be given full freedom to choose the path of career which they want to choose and not what other's ask or expects them to do, as they say "if you love your work, it never becomes a pressure for you". Hence, parents and teacher's should teach children's about the value and essence of science, commerce and arts in their respective fields and it should be totally the decision of student to choose their career, from childhood they should feel confident enough to take major decisions of their life at their own (definitely under the care of parents and teacher's) only then they will become confident when they become adult.

Hello everyone,
First of all I agreed this topic. Now a days youths are confident as well as confused. Most of the youth's are confused our carrier, education etc. Now a education system only focused at education and not improving our skills. These school were increasing our popularity but no one encourage the youth's talents. This problem is most happened in our country.
Let's give me an one example :: A five students are attend the interview and two students got selected for specific job. But the higher officer say to them, "Give me money and take the job".
These type of situation the students are so confused how to face it. Whereas most of the places this happening more and more, so youth's are very confused what can I do?
Confused it's depends upon our condition and situation at same time confident its depends upon our knowledge and skills. So skills are definitely give a more opportunities and more learning failure. I suggest one quote: "don't be afraid of failure : (this is the way to our succeed :).
Let's give me an another example : let's take as a coin, it has a two side. One side is a head and another side is a tail. So let's compare to youth's : as well as youth's one face is a confident and another challenge is a confused. So it's depends upon our skills, now a days most of companies are except communication skills but doesn't expect marks. So youth's how to improve our knowledge skills. Just think about our carrier guys. It's my opinion.
Thanks to all.

Hello friends. My name is Rajan Kumar.
Today we are discussing today's youth are confident or confused.
It's my personal opinion that today's youth are confused because they have a lot of pressure for their carrier and future. 80% of the youth are studying without interest in the subjects. They are not following their dreams; they are following their parent's dream. Sometimes they go with their friends. Really no one is interested to know what they want to do in their life.
We all know the Population of India is 135 Crore in 2018. India has more than 50% of its population below the age of 25 years. Our annual per capita income is 1.18 Lacs in 2018.
Due to the lake of resource in small town & cities, youth relocate themselves from a small city to big cities. They face a lot of challenges in their life. They have to adjust themselves and earn money too.
We all know there is cutthroat competition especially in India where the ratio of jobs in government sector as compared to no of people participating is merely 1%. Same is the case with any competitive exam.
After a lot of rejection and competition, they got the job that they really don't want to do. Money won the battle between dreams and money.
We do the work for money and forgot our dreams.
Finally, I want to tell you one thing. We can live with our dream too and try to fulfil our dreams in this life only. My life is like that only and I am sure I will fulfil my dream and you also.
Goodbye friends.

Hi all, lets go into deep, what enables anyone to be confident? Its knowledge, skills and experience. Do we have enough opportunity to avail these factors? Let's talk about one by one. First is knowledge, no doubt we (youth) stand nowhere in this field, we can only avail bookish knowledge, ruined condition of lab in schools and colleges is well known. Second comes skill, we don't have accessibility to the latest technology.
We only adhere to theoretical knowledge which has no future use consequently we become spoon-feeder in future. Last is experience, there is lack of employment. In such surge of unemployment, one is forced to do any job irrespective of his interest. Its very easy to criticise us by saying youth of India is confused, But let me clear WE are not at all confused but we are bound by the present circumstances. Middle-class families can't think even of get their children enroll into any streams rather than conventional schools and colleges. There is no ample opportunity for non-bookish students. Moreover, for general category people, plight is known to all. There is cut-throat competition in every field. There can only be one topper of any competition, what about other non-topper. I don't understand who to blame. I too understand before pointing fingers on others we must ask our conscience. But before saying that Indian students are confused, kindly look into another aspect what drives anyone to the state of confusion.
