According to me, if given proper guidance and support, the youth of India will definitely become more confident. But the problem lies in the roots of our education (I.E) after passing class 10th student's need to choose the first step towards their professional education (I.E) they need to choose their career in science, commerce or arts, and in today's era also students and their parent's have the misconception that if they choose science over commerce or arts they will have a better future, actually choosing science as your stream becomes the matter of proud for few parents, and as a teenager student's believe that the subject which makes their parents feel proud might hold some greater value in future, but in between all this rush of choosing your path of long career students and parents avoid one basic thing that what is the wish of a student, what is his/her field of interest and in which field they can accomplish more. Students should be given full freedom to choose the path of career which they want to choose and not what other's ask or expects them to do, as they say "if you love your work, it never becomes a pressure for you". Hence, parents and teacher's should teach children's about the value and essence of science, commerce and arts in their respective fields and it should be totally the decision of student to choose their career, from childhood they should feel confident enough to take major decisions of their life at their own (definitely under the care of parents and teacher's) only then they will become confident when they become adult.

Hey everyone.
In my view, the youth of India is confused because they do not know what are their aims, goals because of competition which is increasing fast and also lack of proper guidance which they are not getting on time.

Hi friends,
I can't say directly today's youth is confused,
Mostly those youth is confused whose financial condition is not good because they have proper vision about its currier but due to bad financial condition they can't execute and he/she started to do that things in which they are not interested.
And some youth those have good financial condition they have proper vision about their currier and they confident and their vision.
So, I think government should do something for these type of youth because they are future of upcoming new India.
Thank you.

Indian youth is confused, because the traditional education system is academics oriented. If a child is interested in Environmental studies, he will devote his time to that subject and its research. But due to exams, he is continually under pressure of scoring well, so that he can be promoted to higher class. Doing what you despise is the worst job ever. The ways to nurture a child for his overall development, keeping in mind his innocence can be learnt from orphanages and various NGOs out there. Every child's dream is recognized there. We can't expect anything from the Government, they are just a group of people, solely in love with power, and money. Can a mark sheet decide our future, our examination was our Past, who knows our inner talent & skills in Present? Parents are not to be blamed, they have surrendered themselves to the current scenario; for admission in a good college, you require good marks, for getting jobs in a good company, you require a good college. And this can only happen when you have excelled in academics in your school.
Coming to the solution, Schools should be FREE from EXAMS. Children should not be burdened with unnecessary judgements because of marks. There should be assignments, but which only focus on learning, not marks. Youth must not be pressurized, must feel free to do what they really like, libraries and educational portals should be promoted. Seminars can be arranged by school authorities, about various careers, social problems, and how to make this world a better place.
And everyone should work on this-parents, teachers, even everyone participating in this discussion.
Because "if we want a better Society, we must start from the Children. ".

Yes, youth is an asset and backbone of our country but this youth will convert to a liability because of their confusion and less confidence and let's look out the reason behind this cause. Now, the main question that arises Is Indian Youth Adaptive to Change? Is they are still focusing and figuring the conventional steps to work out or they are keen to go for the out of the box? Change is not a wall that can be built on one day. Everyone knows there are no shortcut to success, but don't you think youth is more focusing to "Build the Rome in one day", they lack the patience and along with that there is a lack of guidance plays a major role but we can't neglect the fact the social animal always available on social networking website updating relationship status and their recent activities where everything is available on one touch are not interested in going to educated, experienced or counsellor to have a good piece of advice that can work for future. I can't deny the fact that yes there is lack of resources for majority part of youth but resources are the that can be developed and will not take much time and energy. Youth is not confused in their period of schooling or graduation but they are confused after completing them, after completing them they think now what to do? Now here the media and old thinking plays part. In a year about 77 lakhs people graduated and few get job and rest either go for either higher education or preparation of government service and for their family business. Only a very few choose a career after that in which they are confident. In government service examination success rate is very less around 0. 1 % Investing 2-3 years to it and getting none doesn't make you less confident. Higher education is making you non-eligible for various jobs.

In my opinion, youth is very much aware and confident about whatever they are doing in their lives. Nowadays the 21 st century generation is so ambitious and enthusiastic that they choose their field of study which they want to pursue and go accordingly. Sometimes it might happen that they might make mistakes, but rather than dwelling on their mistakes they learn from it and try to move on. One such example is Sushant Singh Rajput who first joined Eng but then he realised that his main talent is acting so then he started modelling, done TV shows and now he is Mahi of Bollywood.

Yes I also feel that students are confused about there future not because they don't have confidence, it is due to their environment and education system. Actually the aim of education is to identify once interest level and focusing on that to be employable. But focusing rather than that everybody run behind getting marks. Ultimately some of them loss up getting into frustrating job or be jobless.

Hello,
This is kush.
I think Indian youth has potential to be succesfull but due to lack of proper guidance, lack of education, poor education system Indian youth seems to be confused but it's not the total reality. Most of the youths are successfull or are in the way to acheive success. I think proper counselling to youths is their schools or colleges regarding their career goals should be organised. Youths should not be seen just as a vote bank.

According to me, Indians are not confused they are confident. There is no field as such where Indians have not where Indians have not hosted the flag of India, whether it's in the field of research, sports, invention etc. The problem is there with the education system and the lack of opportunities. Most of the Indians get confused due to the poor education system. There is a need of technological advancement and best education. Also due to lack of employment Indians are not able to show their true potential. India is growing at a very high pace, only there is need of resolving these critical issues.

According to me, today's youth is confused and confident both. They confused because they are not able to decide their field for a career, many of the youth have left their field of interest because of high competition and social pressure, like dancing, acting playing games, etc. So now they have many same fields to choose for their career. But except this, they are much confident that they can do anything.
Now, I want to say that today's youth will much confident if provide them better information and analysis between all fields of jobs from which they can relate their field of interest along with they can choose one better field for themselves.
