Though I don't know much as an economist knows, I thought, Management is both an art and science because it uses certain principles as a science and it requires continuous practise to ensure the based possible results as an art.

In my point of view, management is art as well as science, because of brain trance the art and science are time management. What is management? management is multipurpose origin how to manage the business, manager, and worker. In other words, we can say that it is the collection of people which make a plan to focus the goal. So clearly management is art as well as science.

Management is a science.
Science can be broadly divided into tow groups:.
#Physical science.
#social science.
Physical science: physical science divided into physics and chemistry.
We can also divide these tow areas further.
Social science: the scientific methord of studying human sciences.
Then the management is a Social science because it deals with human being.

It can be said that management is a combination of art and science because both the principles of art and science are present in it but we cannot call it a pure art or science. It said that it is an old art and a comparatively new science and it will continue to be an art in the future till it turns into a pure science.

HI. Let take it to be both, as an art it provides the manager with the technical knowhow of how to manage ie, he/she applies art part of management to manage smoothly, on the other hand the science part provides the already tested or used techniques which can be of help, hence managers uses the science part to analyse the management skills which can be of good outcome, hence management qualify to be both an art and a science.

Management is art but not purely science because like art management also involved personal skill, continuous practice and creative thinking but we cannot say that management is purely science because as a science it cannot based on same experiments.

Hi, in my own opinion management can be regarded as both science and art both with more emphasis on art. Management requires personal knowledge to bridge available knowledge which science represent. Therefore a successful manager blends experience with science in order to achieve desired result.
