Management is both an art and a science.
It is considered as a science because it has an organized body of knowledge which contains certain universal truth. It is called an art because managing requires certain skills which are personal possessions of managers.
Simply speaking, Science provides the knowledge & art deals with the application of knowledge and skills.

Management is a science.
Science can be broadly divided into tow groups:.
#Physical science.
#social science.
Physical science: physical science divided into physics and chemistry.
We can also divide these tow areas further.
Social science: the scientific methord of studying human sciences.
Then the management is a Social science because it deals with human being.

Management is both an act and also science. Management over the centuries has remained an act. Management is an act because it depend on past experience and not on testable technical knowledge as the case may be in physics, chemistry etc.
Management is a science when it uses a systematic or scientific method to obtain a comprehensive information about a problem.

Management is sceince because it uses sceintific processs and approach in solving everyday problem. Unlike the chemistry and physics which is being held in the laboratory, managements studies human behaviour that as a social sceince and as an arts it deals with how individual does his or her own thing in hiss or her manner he or she want is different from others.

My opinion on this topic management is both an art and science merger. Both play important roles in effective management practices, management is a combination of art and science following scientific practices while performing activities also following art practices like creativity and engaging content-based and artful work it helps in effective management.

Hi.
As we understand that management is a task of coordinating other peoples efforts in order to achieve stated objectives then, on my point of view management is both a science and an art because it involves both systematic body of knowledge and the practical body of knowledge which enables the organization to achieve its stated objectives.

But we can say that management is also a profession because management fulfills the criteria to be a profession such as:
A). Rapid development of business as an occupation.
B). The separation of ownership and management in the organization.
These two factors have contributed a lot to accept and develop management as a distinct profession.

Management is a combination of Science and art. Modern business management systems relies and depends on information or knowledge which is science and the success of the organisation in this highly competitive and complex nature of business requires handling of business operations with skills and foresight to avoid crisis which is an art.

According to me, management cannot be said as complete science but it is a complete art because management includes human resources and therefore management cannot be said as complete science but it is a complete art because it has a systematized body of knowledge and it requires special skill, creativity, and practice to get perfection.

Management is combination of both art and science. Science provide knowledge and management provide application of knowledge and skills. Like design a car is science but how to drive it is art. If you want to be a good organiser and manager then you have to know about both science and art. Management requires both skills and knowledge.
