Hi.
According to my view, Management is both arts as well as science. Science refers to theoretical knowledge of rules and principles whereas art refers to application of acquired knowledge. Management is, therefore, application of knowledge with its roots in science. They are not exclusive but are complementary to each other. For example, a person cannot sing well unless he has knowledge about various ragas & his personal skill of singing. Likewise, management is also a perfect blend of science & art.

Management is a science.
Science can be broadly divided into tow groups:.
#Physical science.
#social science.
Physical science: physical science divided into physics and chemistry.
We can also divide these tow areas further.
Social science: the scientific methord of studying human sciences.
Then the management is a Social science because it deals with human being.

From the view of me, management is an art, science and profession because from the side of art it is skill, learn on the basis of practical knowledge, creativity, new ideas, perfection in effective manners. From the side of science, it is on the basis of experimentation, daily practices, observation. And profession means having special knowledge, formal education, code of conduct. So, management is a profession.

Management is gathering the resources to get the defined goal in a fixed time frame. Science in which we must have knowledge about all these resources but now important is an art how to utilize these resources in various tasks. Resources may be any kind human, equipment, etc. I think art is little more important than science because due to lack of any resource an art how to replace that resources is necessary.

Management is "the art of getting things done through people". This definition throws light on the fact that managers achieve organizational goals by.
Enabling others to perform rather than performing the tasks themselves. On the other hand, management is a science in the sense it is a body of knowledge developed.
In a systematic approach as a transformation process where input and output system exist.
This is a result of observation, measurement and study over time.

In my views, management is both science and art. Science gives us knowledgeable principles and art gives us skill to apply it.
