Hi.

According to my view, Management is both arts as well as science. Science refers to theoretical knowledge of rules and principles whereas art refers to application of acquired knowledge. Management is, therefore, application of knowledge with its roots in science. They are not exclusive but are complementary to each other. For example, a person cannot sing well unless he has knowledge about various ragas & his personal skill of singing. Likewise, management is also a perfect blend of science & art.

Management as a science, since it contains universal truth of ideas, applied principles on how to handle employees as a manager in a given organization, using scientific process such psychology towards employee reactions and ways to settle it.

Management is both art and science.

As an art:
Under 'art' one normally learns how of a phenomenon which requires Practical knowledge and Management is an art of getting things done through people which is manages by the manager .

An a Science:
As Science is an organised , systematic knowledge. A discipline can be called scientific if methods of inquiry are empirical . So management involves above things in it.

Management is the combination of science and science because as a science management is the systematic body of knowledge, a principal based on experiment and as an art management has an existence of theoretical knowledge, personalised application. I hope these are enough to explain it.

Management is both in my opinion. It is a science because systematic procedures are used in managerial activities and it's an art as it involves creative as well as innovative activities in its processes.

Yes, management is a science as it contains an organised body of knowledge consisting of principles. So therefore it is also an art because it involves application of theoretical knowledge to the problems of human resources. In fact, handling people is one of the most creative arts.

Management is both an art and science. This is because one must possess a working knowledge before one can practice. The science of Management is the possession of proven facts or working knowledge and it's also the practice of the acquired or proven knowledge to solve a problem. So Management is both an art and a science.

Management is art but not purely science because like art management also involved personal skill, continuous practice and creative thinking but we cannot say that management is purely science because as a science it cannot based on same experiments.

It can be said that management is a combination of art and science because both the principles of art and science are present in it but we cannot call it a pure art or science. It said that it is an old art and a comparatively new science and it will continue to be an art in the future till it turns into a pure science.
