Hi Guys,

No, It is not fair to spare political parties from income tax investigation.

There is a low that is same for all people whether they belong from the political party or any big group. We all know the resources of the political parties from where they collect funds etc. And during that collection, they do some illegal activities which are enduring that time.

If income tax department tries to ask some things regarding that fund at all so is fair because then we can reduce that tolerance which is harmful to the society. When we talk about political parties it means we are talking about leaders of our country and their leadership so if they do some harmful activities so they give bad impression before the society. Black money is a big issue in front of us because that becomes a major drawback in developing the country. If we want to develop our country even gradually so we must take some strict decision against it. When tax amount comes in a big form of money then that money becomes very useful for the society and gives a rise to the development. There are different-2 kinds of departments before the government and they receive their monthly salary from that amount not only this but also many other things take place to go with the help of the money. So we can consider over here the importance of the tax.

In conclusion, I would say that tax amount is the breath of the government sectors without it government sectors and other things can not imagine to alive so it must fair to follow this particular low.

Thanks.

My opinion is that it is not fair to spare political parties from income tax investigations, the rule is a rule and it is applicable to each and every one of our constitutions.

We all know undoubtedly that all political parties are corrupted. My opinion is that no political personality should participate in the election who involves in corruption but our constitution doesn't mind those ideas. They don't bother whether they are educated, capable or honest. They just need fame and thus ruling political parties.

Even when income tax investigation moves against them, it's not valid by using their power they miss use the duty of income tax officers.

Though if an income tax ride happens, if the income tax department submits the report to the government about the illegal properties till that only the news will be published. We don't know what happens to the property or black money that has been captured.

The political parties and government are answerable to the society about the usage of those properties.

Finally, I add a point that even income tax officers being honest but the political parties are not expecting to be honest only if they strictly punished by providing no facilities that a common man gets from the government this would change.

Thank you.

Definitely not. No political party should be allowed to contest in election without proper investigation. Political parties receive huge amount of sum and donations from different sources to carry out their campaign.

Now, the question is who are these sources and why they are willing to donate such a large amount of money? Mostly prominent industrialists pay huge amount so that once the party which they funded wins majority and comes into power, the given political party favors them.

The recent rule passed by Election Commission of India which has asked all political parties which receive funding of more than twenty thousand must reveal donors name. This is a welcoming step by election commission and it should be supported whole heartedly for fair election. Transparency and accountability are the two most basic needs which we want everywhere. Once people get to know about different sources they can easily make their decision. Any political party which doesn't fully assist in their income investigation should not be allowed to contest in election and they should be freezed.

Hello, everyone. This is Uttara.

Of course, each and every person who runs from the rule of law should not be allowed to participate in any kind of election. Elections are meant to select the people's representative. And the person or party should be fare and integrated. In our country, politicians the main culprit to avoid taxes. Huge amounts of money get vandalised in elections. Big corporates donate the unaccounted amount to these parties in the name of political funding to serve their ulterior motives in the future. Politicians loot many portions of these funds and channelise very little to support political activities. Moreover, many politicians give gifts or donations from these funds to fuel communal violence as we can see in recent West Bengal turmoil. The Election Commission has notified few rules like election bond and no cash donation more than 20000 and discloser of donating party name etc is a welcome move in this regard but much still needed to overcome to see India a corruption free country at least in the sphere of the election.

Hi everyone.

Its a very serious and interesting topic that is it fair to spare political parties from an income tax investigation.

According to me absolutely No it's not fair to spare political parties from an income tax investigation.

As India is a democratic country. The rules should be the same for all. There are many political parties in India and some of them are corrupt. These parties receive a huge fund from industrialist and different organisation.

These funds are the black money they collect and use at the time election to buy more votes from people.

The recent rule passed by Election Commission of India which has asked all political parties which receive funding of more than twenty thousand must reveal donors name.

So I conclude that there should be income tax investigation done every year and before the election then they should be allowed for election.

Thank you.

First thing you should note that the topic isn't about politicians, it's about political parties. IT department is free to investigate politicians just like a common man. But Before some years political parties were free to get donation from people. So, political parties were getting money from illegal ways.

But this year, in January, the IT department has ordered that political parties can't accept money more than 2000 in the form of cash. People have to buy an electoral bond from specific branches of SBI and use to donate money to political parties.

It's a very good thing, significantly reduces corruption, or it cleans up the election funding. But this isn't enough.

The political parties may say they got money from more people, But it was less than 2000. So I would like to listen if you have any ways how this can be made more effective.

Hello, Friends.

Good to read all your comments and really as like you all.

I also believe that political must not spare from the income tax investigation. I believe that in the name of helping people all the parties getting fund which has not records and income tax department doesn't have any eye on it which is not good.

India really doesn't afford such kind of lacking as our next generation must have developed country. Everything must be transparent, our common man has gone through with many problems regarding this black money so the political leader must have this investigation. India needs it, we need this as it's Indian citizen property. These leaders must not ruin our India. Every money must have the transparency from where it comes money should move then only we will get rid of this black money.

Political parties are allowed to get anonymous donation up to Rs. 2, 000 and money more than that requires particulars of the person, donating them. I don't understand how all this seems fair to the government when this is a clear corruption.

What political parties want more than funding for its campaign. Anybody seeking favours from these parties may fund it anonymously and political parties just have to show this fund as a summation of Rs 2,000.

There should be a proper balance sheet of each funding to political parties and no anonymous fund should be allowed. Moreover government Think " there would be income tax return by parties", when there is no income tax imposed on political parties. Therefore it would be fairer than income tax department keeps an eye on political parties.

As we all know that our country comes in the top for corruption and for black money. This all corruption taking place from this political parties and from business persons only. If we are spare them only from the income tax investigation then how will our country will develop the poor people will going to be poor only then. Which ever political party starts any new project in our country they are playing a big game in that and every earns a huge profit from that and they are not paying taxes for the same. Every year they start a project of crores of crores budget and actually they are using this all money in that project not at all they all goes in their pocket and not even paying tax. So it is not at all fair to spare a political parties from income tax investigation.

My point of views :-

Not, it is not fair to spare political parties from income tax investigation because all the nation political party like BJP (nearly 938 crore fund), Congress (nearly nearly 150 plus fund) have great amount donation or fund from many source, that may legal or illegal and they want keep silent mode on this topic, there are need of transparency, fund of political party disclose on their own website if they have really develop India as Developed Country otherwise our Country youth skills, economic strength of nation, productivity of farmer, research of scientist, martyr of solder waste in increase funding of ruling or opposition party in our country.

Thank you for adding this topic in group discussion.
