Is God Male?

I believe God exists. Throughout our life we bear so many feelings for humans, animals and nature around us.

We show compassion for poor and needy. We believe in power because of what we can sense. The feeling of purity and positivity comes from within.

There are many tales of God exists in different cultures and religions throughout the world. As a Hindu myself we believe in more than one God. My personal favourite is God Ganesha. He spreads wisdom and happiness.

God is male or female or any other form of life what matters is he has given us life. We need to keep ourselves content and help the needy.

According to me, its just the matter of belief. Some God doesn't exist and for some God is everything. In the same way, for some God is male and for some God is female. Thus there is no one to prove the gender of God. If we consider the holy book Ramayana, we refer Lord Ram and Goddess Sita and thus according to this the gender of God is both male and female. But if we refer the holy books, Quran and Bible, we refer to Allah and Jesus. Thus this entire topic depends on the belief of people. In short, we can just say that God is an epitome of positive energy which helps us to reach our goals efficiently.

Seen a lot of positive vibes from your end. Coming to my view, I don't believe in god. But yes I believe of my existence because of my parents. Hence they are my GODS. Next, I believe in SUN, AIR, WATER, EARTH, FIRE because without these we are nothing. So, I mostly believe what is practical and sensible things.

If really GOD exists either male or female does not matter? Example if I am in a difficult situation and one of my friends his/her helps me, then I will see GOD in them. HELP HUMANS. Don't search which is not visible.

Thank you friends for sharing your wonderful thoughts and in my opinion, we cannot say anything about the gender of god that god either be male or female we worship him and this is source of our thinking that the every human who help you in your problem its god for you when in you in need god comes in your life taking any name like your father or mother and anyone else so we are not able to say about the gender of god on the basis od just we have seen on TV like Ramayan serial and many religion epics so god is exists in every human heart who worships him and keep faith in god.

Today's topic is a bit controversial. It asks if God is a male. Well is there a single God though out the world?the power we humans call god has anyone ever saw it?does it have any shape any face any religion any ethnicity?we Hindus have 33 crore gods. Mohamedans have Allah. Christian have Jesus. In Greece, they have both male and female gods. So the very face of God is unknown to human kind. But to me, there exists some power which created this galaxy this universe and we don't even know the face of it. So we can't conclude that if God is male or a female. Thank you.

Wow, many of you having stand as the gender of God. Do we really need to know the gender of God? I don't think so as we do really need the gender of God. We, you, everything which shows some of positive and good signs to us we supposed it as God, it can be any thing like I or You or tree or the nature or this earth. Only matters is what you think of it and in which manner do you take it. And really we don't seen God and its good because if anyone seen it would be again a riot in between the religion. So just leave this that what is gender of God. Need to believe in.

I completely respect the ideas given by everyone but in my point of view we are deviating from the topic. This topic has nothing to deal with the sender of god it is telling about the present scenario i.e. male dominated world.

Yes of course most probably the god is male i.e. the world is man dominated as such the women are not considered as having as much potential as men which should be eradicated. Those are not considered fit for the various opportunities which are there for men only. So I would say yes the god is male.

I am very happy to participate in this topic. God is male or female?

Have you ever seen the god? No. Most of us said no. In my point of view god is not a male or female. God is a power. A supreme power that we cannot see that. May be god is a soul. We don't know the gender of our soul. Right? God is a power which can hold the world and which can protect us. Anyone of you can say that what power you can use to run a battery or other?male or female.

So God is a super natural power that cannot have the gender like a soul.

GOD is a word connected with divinity. Our perspective toward the word god may differ from person to person. When it comes to me GOD is nothing but a supernatural power that binds us all together. If we are asked to specify the gender it is necessary for us to know the behavior or the character of that thing. I strongly believe that there is some power beyond our human abilities it can be in any form like belief, faith, male or female. One can't specify the gender of the god with witnessing it. When it comes to I see god in our good deeds.

God is the Creator of the world. God is Almighty. God has no physical identity. God is only a source of energy. We can't claim about the gender of God. It is assumed that some worship God whereas some worship goddess. This is because in old days in a particular area a superior person assumed God as a male that trends is followed till now. Whereas same like in other areas where superior person assumed God as female then that is also followed by people. But there is no any full proof about the gender of God, so we can't claim about the gender of God.
