Is compulsory attendance really needed in college?

According to my point of view, attendance is not really needed in college because nowadays student are mature they understand the educational importance in their life because of that attendance is not needed in colleges.

Hi, everyone. According to my point of view, it is necessary to take attendance in college. Because it helps students to know the importance of time management, discipline, punctuality etc. We must know its importance. After getting graduated from a college most of the students opt to go for a job rather than further studies. At that time wherever they need to work, they have to be in time at work and need to mark their attendance before the prescribed time at the workplace. Otherwise, it will be a loss of pay. So if they learn to do those things in their college days itself it will not become a problem for them. So personally, I prefer that attendance must be followed in college.

According to me, attendance must be made compulsory in colleges. In today's world, there are so many things that distract students like drugs, mobile phones etc. If attendance is not made compulsory, the students will fall prey to bad habits and spoil their future as well. Further introducing compulsory attendance ensures that the students develop discipline, punctuality which makes them more professional and well-groomed for the industry. These values cannot be developed overnight, but have to be practiced in student days itself.

Of course, attendance should be compulsory because if we go to college for attendance then our discipline & punctuality will stay & regular with the study. If we attend the classes then we can improve our skill, sharp our mind like whatever thing we are missing in our study then this thing we can cover up by teachers & about interest then if one time we will attend the classes then automatically interest will come & enjoy the class.

According to me, compulsory attendance is a must for students I know there are many things except studying but if there will be no compulsory att. I m sure nobody wants to go college. And this will affect students only because they will lack college experience, socializing as well as teacher-student interactions. And also we deposit fees for learning, no just to get degree from that college.

Well according to my point of view, the regular attendance is necessary to maintain for every student in their college life because as college is not only a place just to get a degree but it also a place where every student will be trained in all aspects. Generally after completion of their graduation most of them recruited in corporate world where attitude and discipline plays a vital role and they have to habituate to that corporate world this will only possible if the student is regular to class where they will trained on this aspects too.

As we know that technology has developed a lot by which we can easily study from anywhere by online tutorials but it takes more time to you if you get any doubt in that video on the other hand if you are in class room your doubts will be cleared easily by discussing with your friends and lecturers.

So that I conclude that regular attendance should be needed to everyone in his college life.

Attendance should not be made compulsory in colleges. If students are interested in that subject they will attend. Also, our education system is not so good. Here we will study theoretical and practical aspects separately.

Instead of this system if we study theoretical and practical aspects of a subject we can get knowledge and students are interested in this thing.

Some students will attend classes because of the topic attendance it's no use if the student is present only physically but absent-minded. It is a waste of students time also lectures time. A Student can utilize that time for his interested field.

Attendance in college need not to be compulsory, the reason behind this is that, when college declare the 100% attendance rule, students makes limits for themselves. They don't get involved in any extra curricular activities, sports, cultural events etc. Which is very necessary for their personality development. They only think that class should no be missed. They only do lecture for attendance. This looses their willing power of learning. They do lecture forcefully and get bored during lectures and pass the comments during lectures for their entertainment and this is loosing the quality of education. Students are loosing their interest in curricular subjects and they study only for getting marks. If this rule is not there then the students do the lectures according to their interest. If students are interested then the teachers will also efforts more for the teaching and there will be quality education.

I think compulsory attendance is not needed in college it is the place where we enhance our qualities and learn new things but if we continue to attend college we really have no time to improve this. We join college not only to study but also to learn new things that help us to fight in this world of competition.

Practical knowledge is more important than theoretical knowledge. We may pass all semesters but if we are not able to explain there is no meaning of that study.

I respect everyone's thinking but in my opinion, it shouldn't be a compulsory option. 30% attendance should do mandatory só students will get more time for their studies and if it actually happens so students will only come to clarify their doubts but Causing 70% attendance or more pressurises a person to come in college. If a person wants to build up a start-up or do internships, it is difficult for him or her to miss the chance. College should make students qualitative not quantitive. But I respect every college's decision why 75% attendance should do mandatory but I think, What we are now some of us will be professors or will be in the higher authorities at a time so at that time we should think about that what you faced when you are in the college. We all students want to make our future better so at that time when you are in the higher authorities you should think about that.
