Pros of Compulsory Attendance:-
-> Discipline and Accountability: Regular attendance instils discipline and encourages students to take their education seriously.
-> Engagement in Learning: Attending classes ensures active participation in discussions and activities, which can deepen understanding.
-> Faculty Interaction: Students can benefit from direct interaction with professors, asking questions, and clarifying doubts in real time.
-> Skill Development: Beyond academics, attending classes helps develop time management, teamwork, and communication skills.
-> Preparation for Professional Life: Regular attendance mirrors professional responsibilities where consistent presence is often required.
Cons of Compulsory Attendance:-
-> Individual Learning Styles: Not all students learn effectively in traditional classroom settings. Some may prefer self-study or online resources.
-> Flexibility for Real-World Experience: Students may benefit from internships, part-time jobs, or research opportunities that might conflict with strict attendance policies.
-> Quality of Teaching: If teaching methods are outdated or uninspiring, enforcing attendance might lead to disengaged and disinterested students.
-> Autonomy and Responsibility: College students are adults and should be trusted to manage their time and decide what’s best for their learning.
-> Focus on Outcomes, Not Presence: Academic success should be measured by understanding and performance, not just physical presence.

Hello Everyone,
Regarding Compulsory attendance, It is not necessary at all because of many reasons.
->First and foremost thing is INDIA needs DEVELOPERS, which comes with self-understanding and a healthy relation with the subject. And Understanding comes with your own effort not rather someone forcing you to learn or Dump the subject for the sake of marks, what the present day education system is doing with the name of Compulsory Attendance.
-> Everyone will have their own interests, they have joined in some courses does not mean that they should be proficient in that. For example in B tech if we are having 6 subjects, the student will have or get interest only in 2 to 3 subjects and they wanted to make their carrier with what they like and should be given that freedom (chance) to utilize that time in which they will be sitting simply in the class for attendance (compulsory) and wasting his precious time.
-> Maybe someone might have joined the college just for the degree and they were interested in doing something (Govt services, business). So, in this case, what is the use of forcing them to attend the classes for attendance in which he is not interested at all.
-> We should do something we liked to not forced to do. Then only the unbeaten outcome comes.
"Do only what you love, then there is no need for you to work a day" - Confucius once said.
Based on these facts, my opinion is not to have a compulsory attendance.

Hello everyone.
According to my point of view, compulsory attendance is a forced system where you force a student to attend college whether he/she want to attend or not.
If a person came just because of compulsory attendance then no mean of his attending the college because they are not mentally present there they are in college just for attendance.
It's true we are mature enough to make decisions what is right & what is wrong for us. In this case we need to understand the value of education not the concept of attendance.
Easy to call student with this typical keyword called " compulsory attendance " but my q is "are you sure that a person who attending the college for attendance means he is physically present in side the Class is he also present mentally inside the Class and grab knowledge? ".
I think no.
Better to create a system where attending college should be a student choice rather than a forced decision. Where students came for learning not just for attendance.
One more point I would like to highlight that it is observed that compulsory attendance create many problems in student life.
One of them is because of short attendance, students were not permitted for the final examination. In such type of case where compulsory attendance meant for good provide the wrong impact on student life.
So I just want to say rather than looking for attendance it good if we attend class with our choose and priority.
Thanks.

Hi friends,
I am Kavitha,
According to my point, is no needed to 100% in collages, why Because of almost students physically present, Mentally off sent.
In Our Life, college duration very important. Because in college days teach us everything.
The Thing needs to change the education system. Education not only our life, We need more Extra activities, Practical classes, innovative classes, .
After finish college, reading and writing exam is not valid. They expect from us talent and practical knowledge, situation handling and etc. , So We learn from all these in collages. Highest percentage is not a matter. We need a knowledge, . So first of all changing education is the system. And students automatically comes to college. This duration very important in everyone life. So Students Realizes What is the purpose we are going to collages. What we need in our life.
Out of Tamil Nadu. Singapore. &. Other countries. The classes totally differ. They conduct half-day classes. Remaining half day. They teach sports and Dance, Karate. Extra. So Students love the way of teaching. Students never getting boring. The students doing the part-time job during collages.
Finally, 50 % attendance holder having a good position in a company, as same time 100% attendance holder having a lower position in a company and life.
So attendance is not a matter. We need a change the way of teaching and Learning.
Thank you.

Attendance should not at all be made compulsory in colleges. There are many students who are more interested in some other activities instead of coming to colleges. A student studying in college is no more a child and does not need someone to guide him/her continuously.
College going students are all grown ups. They can manage their studies on their own. Different students have different needs and desires. Not everyone wants to become a doctor and engineer. Gone are the days when people have such kind of mindset that people with no education can never be successful. Many students are doing excel in different fields such as sports, some are interested in starting their own startup, some want to make dance as their career, some want to become singer, some actor and many more. They can't become successful if they are made to attend their classes in colleges every single day. Thus concessions in attendance are what the need of an hour. Those who actually want to study and are more interested in achieving higher degrees then it is very well that they attend all classes but for those categories of students whose main aim is different for them a minimum thirty percent attendance is more than enough. Government needs to revise its policies on colleges and minimum attendance compulsory such that everyone can outshine in their area of interest which will ultimately contribute to our country's growth.

Hello everyone according to my point of view, YES attendance should be compulsory. No1 is perfect here I can agree that we can study ourselves we can understand the things without attending the classes BUT the thing is making understand ourselves and get understand by someone else different. We can google the things we can understand by watching videos but if those are there means what is the necessary of colleges because those are optional as we are all having facilities of that so we can learn ourselves then what about the rural people? City people can bunk and they can read. Whoever having that facility they only can do things as I said. If attendance is not compulsory what is the use of our teachers. If we don't want attendance we can do correspondence course, right? Certain things can be known by lectures only, We are telling we don't want attendance just because of that at end they used to struggle us that's why. If we think about our future we need sufficient knowledge. Because while we going class we don't understand when we came out from the college and will find out the importance. Being regular to class shows out discipline, dedication and patience. If they make compulsory only we can regular or else we can't learn things what we don't know.

Hello, everyone.
I am Shivam Sable So firstly I will thank to you to give me platform how I will think about that, I will talk about positive side all are you know that "the man knows with his company".
So I think the compulsory attendance must be taken in the colleges all are you know that the college timing is not more than 7 hr, if we calculate the over all timing in day this are 24 hour if we (-)7 hour of college then that's is 17 hr, again we (-) 8hr as your sleep then there are extra 9 hr remain then what about that 9 hr your do any thing in that time, I am telling that because I am agree that must taken regularly attendance, student can regularly present he will not only 100 %grassfying but sometimes he will definitely graft, in their colleges other than study there are lots of activity are done such as, Seminar on competitive exam, how to face interview etc if student doesn't regular then he miss that chance to regain their self-confidence, how to interact with others. Compulsory attendance maintain self-confidence in student, professional life how interact with others, and main best things that updated knowledge, so that's why I am in fever of the compulsory attendance in college.

I don't find any logic behind compulsory attendance. If the teacher cannot create interest in the class, there is no point in attending his classes regularly. Our aim of going to the class is to gain knowledge and if that is missing I don't really know why should we go. There are teachers who just come to the class and start reading monotonously form the slides without any interest for explanation. It is a known fact that there are some teachers who may be brilliant researchers but output in the class is nill. That is understandable. The point of not going to the class is not disrespecting the teachers but to stop wasting our times. Definitely the time that is gained by not going to the class should be utilised in studying those topics in details and then approaching the respective teacher with doubts. I believe he/she will very well be able to clear the doubts because he is a professor and has in-depth knowledge. The only problem was he couldn't express himself in front of a full classroom. So in my opinion, college classes should be made optional and a student should attend the classes of those teachers whom he fills can clear his doubts, This may vary from student to student.

According to me, attendance should be compulsory in college. We see students everyday goes to the college but when examining time comes they sit for agitation because college authority does want to allow many students to sit for exam because they don't have adequate attendance. Actually students when they go to college they get the freedom and not only that boys come from Boys school and girls come from girls school but in college most of the co-education so they get chance to make friendship with the opposite sex and as a result they like gossip send time to go to the picture, visiting here and there in this way they spend there. But student life is very golden life if they can't study properly then they will not get chance in reputed sector and parents they spend their hand money for their children future. So according to in college there is strict rule for compulsory attendance then they have no choice they have to attend the class and accordingly they will prepare for their study as well as exam. In there future they will get lot of time for their entertainment but they should not waste their time in student life. They should concentrate in their study.
