Well, as of now attendance is compulsory in every school and college. Basically, we require a minimum of 75-80% attendance to answer exams. As for me, attendance should not be compulsory because we should go to school or college not because we are scared of not getting to answer the exams but for the love of studies. One chooses a particular stream because he has interest in it and wants study more about it or even later specialize in it. This should be the basis for attending college and not for the sake of attendance.

Attendance must be mandatory in colleges as it is in schools.
Parents spend their hard spent money for their children's education. The Government gives scholarships to motivate students to study.
If attending classes is not necessary, there should be no colleges and everyone can do online courses.
Learning takes place through a Guru (teacher) who not only teaches you the text but also shares his/her wisdom. Also, learning takes place through interaction with peers.
Attendance should be through bio metric scans.

I think attendance should not be compulsory. It is just a waste of time if you attend the college just because of attendance.
If a student has a real interest in a subject, he will definitely attend.
No doubt it will increase the laziness if a student is sitting home, not doing anything. But for this making, an attendance compulsion is not a solution.
Those who want to prepare their study by sitting at home, attendance is a major factor which is wasting their time.
So I think attendance must not be mandatory.

Hello, every one!
In my opinion, there should be a minimum percentage of attendance mandated by colleges for the overall growth of students. There is always two sides for a coin. If there is no compulsory attendance then students would be busy in roaming with friends and watching movies. They will be distracted from the goal. On the other hand, if the student has to sit in a classroom for all the time then would not be qualitative but rather quantitative. So there should be balance between holidays and classes.

I think attendance should be compulsory in college, as many of students depend on their private tuition. But from college's teacher we get a lot of knowledge, idea also. Most of the students only focus on their theory but they don't interest in practical or projects. So, that their application knowledge is very poor, their carriers face lots of problems also. To bring discipline and attendance really needed. In this way, students can learn its positivity and build a goods relation both professors and students.

No, I don't think that attendance should be compulsory in a college because students are mature enough to understand what is good for them and what is not. If they are not interested in the subject then we can't force them as they will just come into the class but will not study. At the same time, they are wasting their time which can be had been utilized somewhere else. Also, it is the responsibility of the teachers to make class interesting so that students come to class themselves without any compulsion.

From my point of view, attendance should not be compulsory in school. There is a many reasons behind it. Some of which is as follows:
(1) Students are forced to join lectures even they are not interested in attending that lectures.
(2) Most of the lectures are boring.
(3) If the student will do self-study during that period then he will learn more things.
(4) Generally, college students are of the age 18+ so they are mature enough to decide what is wrong and what is right so they are not forced to do so.

No. It's not compulsory because students are mature enough to think about there future life. Mainly due to teaching style, college strict rules, treating students as in school level makes them feel exasperated and tries to break the rules. In my point of view, college should focus on practical classes by making students more interactive and have their participation automatically. And also by conducting various events related to their subjects this will eventually reduces lack of attendance.
Thank you.
Thank you.

Hi, everyone.
I would ask you "why do everyone go to college ?" for study or attendance.
It's also depends on a student what do you want to do, if they realize that attendance is compulsory for their study, they also join the class. Attendance is not loaded over student by college attendance is simply a record of presence in a class, it's not a certificate of your intelligence. You can not judge any one by their records. Everyone would join the class if the education system as well;.
Thank you.

Hello everyone!
Attendance can be mandatory only to a certain. No one can give cent percent even if he think to give. This may happen due to health issues. If it is mandatory, people who are interested are not going to listen to the lecturer. They are not child to force them and teacher can't do. Even they do so, they start to act. If it is not made mandatory fully then students will become lazy. They won't learn punctuality and certain manner. So it should be mandatory only to a certain extent.
