In my point of view ethics is not at all a passing fashion in business. Because every bussiness runs on the reliability of customers on their product. A businessman can earn profit with unethical rules of their business but only for a short time. In doing so he loss the trust of customers which results in a huge loss to their business. And at last people purchase the product of those companies on which they trust regarding their good services whether it may be some costly to them.

Ethics to me is a highly individualistic term. Ethics in real term cannot be generalised, the thing which seems ethical to me may not look ethical to you. However, I am not supporting being unethical. Ethics in business is good to follow. But we can see many corporate giants (its not right to mention the names on a public forum) who have being unethical in one or the other way and are adding numbers to its growing revenues.

Ethics are highly dynamic in today's competitive era.

In my opinion, ethics is equally important as that of business because we all know that a person's character may be known from his or her behavior or ethics. So it is very important for a businessman to maintain ethics as the consumers are much attracted to those persons who have good ethical value or good behavior.

So according to me first, the behavior should be emphasized rather than business, after all a good business man's personality is judged by his behavior.

I believe unethical practices can only get you short term gain..for a business to succeed the company has to build a everlasting relationship with their customers, by making use of unethical practices, they cant last in this tough competition for long, this lesson was learned by Mr, Raju of Satyam the hard way..When you think of TATA group, the first thing that comes to your mind is their integrity and ethics, so the customers are assured of quality from TATA

Hello friends,

Ethics are actually the unwritten and traditional keys to success. All successful people have ethics associated with them.

If we speak about ethics in business it is very wrong to say that it's the only pretence, actually, it depends on from owner to owner.

If a company follow its ethics and satisfy customers need without any compromise they can win customers trust, which is really required to succeed in today's competitive world.

Value based organisations, such as Infosys, has demonstrated that even so-called soft concept can be very powerful. As ethics covers all the possible areas of business, end and means should justifiable as per the norms of society. Rather than to become showy characters businesses should integrate core values, such as, integrity, honesty, fair practices, trust, respect with policy making and decision making.

I also agree with the statement that ethics should be followed in business because the person running its business using unethical practices will never succeed in the long run for example satyam computer chairman raju did a fraud in its business and he is in jail now but ratan tata the classic example in running its business using ethics practice he is a very successful businessman n people admire that one.

I would like to add some extra point in this discussion. First to follow 'ethics and compliance' is very needful for every organization to succeed in these competitive world. If we give better service and satisfaction to customer, it will be very easy to achieve our targets. There is no any shortcut for long-lasting success. It will take time but your career will be best.

The topic draws our attention to as to how ethical practices are related to business. Ethics are an integral part of any business association that seeks to survive and flourish in the long run. People have a deep faith in organistions like TATA because it never compromises on its ethics and as a result, has greater customer satisfaction and correlated business growth.
