Educational qualification for Politicians

I share my points with you guys. Educational qualification for politicians that topic know if it's necessary? No need qualification because the qualified people thinking only selfish. I am saying some qualify politician only. He is depending on other politician and also peoples. They are thinking only very brilliant, knowledge all information only know that other guys do not know the information in the world. But not qualified people is a politician means they are learning every day. And thinking some different. He is also some thinking fraud and cheat but comparing qualified person is better than the uneducated people. Thank you all.

I completely agree with your opinions but I would like to add more opinions. According to my opinion, there should be minimum educational criteria for politicians and I want to add that not only a politician should be educated but every person should be educated.

Because a well-educated person knows that what is right or wrong. We all know that our country is a developing country its literacy rate is very low. So an educated politician will know how to face the problems of our country because a political leader is the one who runs the country. Because of the education, a person has leadership qualities that will help the development of the country.

Hello everyone, I think as we know the leader is chosen by the people and for the people so he/she should have at least awareness, basic knowledge of not only of his area but also of Indian constitution or about India.

So that a leader can perform well on the platform that is provided by the people.

And I think there should be some type of practical exam should be conducted before the nominees for the election is to be done under the guidance of ELECTION COMMISSION OF INDIA.

So that we can figure out whether the nominees is able to solve the problem or able to perform in pressure condition or not. AND having the basic knowledge of Indian administration or not?

People in India are not thinking about upcoming generation by electinng un-educated people as political leaders. One person (for eg. IAS / IPS) he/she strives throught his/her childhood and become top most officer but when it comes to real life.

IAS / IPS have to salute political leaders (even who are not completed 12th Standard). Under graduation is basic mandatory course required as eligibility while nominating as political leaders to the state. If we want to stop this culture and to take out eligible candidates as leaders we have to sesitise all people and disseminate information upto villages regarding "effects on electing uneligible candidates as leaders".

Almost for every post in our country, educational qualification of a person is seen. So why not for politicians! Politicians are the ones who form the government and run a country. For this, they need to understand how an economy functions and runs. These knowledge can be better acquired through education. So what I mean is, there should be certain minimum educational requirements for becoming a politician. Undoubtedly, there are a number of people in politics who have performed very well and improved country's economic condition. But such persons had some highly qualified people in their cabinet or party whose advice they seek for taking any decision.

In my opinion, education is necessary but can not make mandatory. Education degree can be forged.

Highly educated candidate can not give guarantee of good governance. For good governance candidate have knowledge of Basics of Governance and other factors (IQ, GK. Ect). We need process to assess candidate on above criteria. Like to play cricket, you have to know how to play cricket same way if you want to take part in government you have to know basics of governance.

In my opinion, a politician is who can change the rules of a society, he controls over the country, he should be knowledgeable, known to every factor of the country, but it dosen't mean that he should be a degree holder. He should be educated but most importantly he should be very much aware of the whole country, he should be a good leader who can hold the whole country. He should be honest towards his work, and he should be able to find out the ways to make our country developed. He is ion that place for the people, to the people, and of the people, so his first priority should be the problems of the peoples, who will vote his be in that place.

As my point of view, education is most important for everyone whether he/she is a leader. I checked the discussion some of them are saying that its not important that every leader must be educated, a leader can be lead with their abilities, yes its true but I think its good that every leader must be educated yes some of the educated leaders and politicians also corrupted. In our India most of the politicians are illiterate while comparing to other developed countries. India is a developing country so now in this situation India wants some well educated political leaders because A LEADER IS ONE WHO KNOWS THE WAY, GOES THE WAY, AND SHOWS THE WAY.

I think it is not mandatory to education for a politician because we know though we have 74% literacy rate what about remaining 26%?

OUR country is democratic and as every person has right to vote just like that every politician must have right to participate in an election. Though if a person is not educated but he can work on his ethics recent example Anna Hazare who has passed his 7th but still working excellent but Mr Kajeraval who has been ex irs isnt well compare to annji so education doesn't matter but ethics and working abilities matters.

So education should not be mandatory for a politician because it is their story right.

In my point of view, education is necessary.

Politicians represent our nation. They need to communicate with foreign delegates, speak to top CEO's and should bring top companies to our nation and thus strive hard to make our country smarter. When he/she is not educated, how well they can reach them?

Also, even if a common person wants to get a job in public sector, he needs to be eligible and should undergo different phases and clear his exam. Why not a politician who is serving crores of people shouldn't have a minimum degree?

Moreover, Education is not only about knowledge, it is also much concerned about values, ethics and morals.
