Hello everyone,

I am Shashank Mishra and I'm a law student from Noida I would like to share my views on this topic.

Like all other professions, the political profession is as respected as others but all other profession requires a certain amount of educational qualification so why not the political profession? there should be a minimal amount of qualification required, not having the basic and prior knowledge how come someone will think about the development of the society, being the representatives of the society?

Education is must for every politician. Then only he can take good decisions for the development of country. Now a days there are many politicians without any qualification. Of course, some of them are good at their job even though they are not educated. But some politicians rule the nation without any knowledge of democracy caused by their own nature of illiteracy. Every politician must be educated to some extent at least which is mandatory in the process of developing of country.

Anybody think that it's not necessary because,

Although it may help, it's not a necessity. As Randy Hultgren once said, "A leader is someone who has learned from experiences, not someone with who learned from a textbook.".

I think this is a very valid statement because, even though you have learned how to do something you may have never actually done it, so how can you know what to expect?

If a leader is educated it is helpful, but there are much more important qualities he must have like humbleness, an ability to understand people, no to corruption and they should have a vision.

This is why the most experienced leaders are the best leaders. To be a great leader you have to have determination, not qualification.

Education should be must for politicians. I won't say that he/she must have degree from prestigious universities but, they should have atleast minimum education qualification. Because educated persons know what type of plans to be implemented in order to develop the Education system in most of the areas in our country. "Whatever the work we are doing, we should be inspirational to everyone". So, we should not give chance to others to point out that he/she was not educated and how can they rule people. Politicians will have the chance to implements many rules. So, if they are educated they will implement many ideas in order to change the system related to children, youth.

If the person is well-experienced in the work and has poor education skills, how can he implement the ideas related to the education system?

So, According to my view, Education is must for politicians.

Hello Everyone,

In my point of view, every politician must have the minimum qualification. Because then only they know the basic problems between people. Suppose he/she uneducated means, they don't know how to face one problem. They need others help. They need others help means they are not politicians right. For example, one person is well-educated means they know the value of the problem, different ideas, how to face the problem? They will reach the success path of the problem. Then our society having no problems and it will go calm. Nowadays in our society facing so many problems because most of the uneducated politicians. So every human having the minimum level of knowledge.

Hi,

Education is matter, Qualification don't !

According to my view, education is must, it does not matter how much we are qualified, So how we can judge that person is educated? Answer is, take a test at high level judge their knowledge, their decision making power, accuracy of decisions, their globe knowledge, their leadership quality. So According to me, that test will be conducted for each and every person who wanna participate in elections. After given that test candidate take part in elections and people have choices alot of candidates who are well educated.

The second benefit of that process is that party culture will be finished because every candidate gives a test for a particular position like home minister etc and test also different for each position. So which candidate won election after passing a test that has power and second highest candidate rule like as opposition. According to me, that will be best. Please, anybody correct me if I am wrong.

Thanks mail. Com.

Education and Training Is Required For Almost Everything That a human does, be it cleaning, marketing, cooking, singing, acting or even Sex education. Off-course lots of things can be done without training and education but to do it as good as it can be done, we need education and training.

That's why there are music/dance academy's, Drama schools, engineering colleges, home science, and sex education.

Suppose there are 3 people, lets call them A, B & C.

Person "A" has empathy and some knowledge about diseases and there cures and he is very dedicated to help other people, overall a very good and noble human being.

Person "B" is not so emphatic, and lacks the nobleness but is a certified physician.

Person "C" Gets a serious sickness/disease, Who would you think he should consult. ?

Assuming Person C is sane rational person there is a very less possibility that he will go to person A,

He might choose a 3rd person who is specialist in the area of his sickness/disease.

Now, Coming to the politician part,

When I listen to people's argument when they want to justify that education is not necessary to be a politician there are almost no logical consistency, they often use words like empathy, motivation, dedication, feeling, decision making capability but seldom do the use words like skill, knowledge, evaluation etc. I mean don't they see the flaws in there reasoning?

Even a 5 year old has empathy, motivation, dedication, feeling and decision making capability in fact he/she makes a decision when he decides to eat a packet of chips over vegetables or vice versa.

The reason is, that we don't care about anything unless its effects are immediate or significant to us or both.

When it comes to politics, unless a politician commits a very significant crime, we ignore it. We don't understand or maybe don't care enough to understand that every single decision made by our politicians affects all of us in one way or other however small and insignificant it may be.

Lets get to the real world now,

If any one of us has a million dollar company and we have to choose a leader. Would we choose in the same manner that we choose our politician ? off-course not, because we know the decision made by the person we choose will have a serious effect on our company. So what will we do. We will look for the most qualified person for the job that we can get in our budget. But for the politicians. We just don't care.

Try to answer this simple question and you will get the point.

Why do we need/prefer a leader with most knowledge and experience to manage a company but when it comes to manage a whole country/state we have no set qualification requirement, even a 12th pass person with no understanding of management, political science, our constitution/law or even our national anthem can be elected,

Knowing is one thing, but knowing how that knowledge can be used is entirely different, its the difference between a scientist and a teacher, its a difference between a mechanic and an engineer.

So, yes. ! I strongly believe that all our politicians should have a certain level of qualification, just like you need to have physics, chemistry and math/Biology to pursue engineering/medicine science as a career because we all know those are the basics that one should have to be a good and efficient engineer/doctor/scientist/surgeon etc.

I feel education is necessary for politicians. Education is the weapon used to protect our country from every danger. A well-educated politician can understand the difficulties faced by people in the society and then will implement laws according to those. Poverty and social inequalities can be wiped away through intelligence of the politician. A politician can find many solutions for one problem if he has acquired basic education. That is why we consider right to education as a fundamental right. If the politicians of the country are not educated, then just imagine what would the people be like?

Hi.

Education is important for everyone, As far as.

I can think politician education should be like a teacher education. Because teacher know how to control our class and they don't want to provide bad knowledge with our students.

Like it we are a student and our PM or CM etc are a teacher. They should understand us but they quarrel each other in election time.

We have everything but we don't know how to use. So politician education is very important for us.

According to our constitution, the criteria to stand an election in India is only that the candidate must be Indian citizen & the minimum age of the candidate is 25 years. Again our constitution says all the citizen have an equal right to give their vote & stand in the election. According to 2011 census, India's literacy rate is 74%. So if we will tell that our politician should be educated that means rest of 26% people will lose their right to stand in the election.

In India many peoples who are not able to get an education because of their financial reasons. So if they have lost their right to contest an election, they may think that there is no benefit for them to give their vote in the election, where they can't participate.

At last, I will say that Indian literacy rate has increased from our independence for which rise in the number of educated politicians in our country. So when literacy rate of India is more than 95% like US &UK, then automatically all the politicians are educated. So we should think about our literacy rate rather than the education of our politicians.
