Hello everyone,

Looking into this matter very deeply, I feel like that every politician whether good or bad must have an educational qualification. Every politician ought to have an educational qualification. What I believe is that education gives us the knowledge and enhances our way of thinking in a different manner. For example, in villages most of the families make their children work along with them for an extra income in the family. To them, education is a worthless job and wastage of money. Unless they get the proper education their mindset won't work properly and can't think the correct way. Education is what makes a complete man and since politicians have a great role in the managing of state affairs and many more things, I think that education to them is necessary to them. If not to the fullest then at least a qualification to every politician is needed for our country. Although education has negative effects too but those are very negligible. In the most, every politician's interest must lie within the country itself. Unless there is devoted and committed politician in our society who will look for the betterment and social upbringing of the people till then our country will suffer from backwardness. Education is only a support from behind to the committed politicians. This is all that I think.

Thank You.

Hello, everyone.

I want to share my opinion it's not at all required to have an educational qualification for the politicians. Introducing necessary educational qualification for eligibility for contesting elections, in a country like India, where about 80% of the population is illiterate, will go much against the spirit of democracy for the sole reason as it will deprive the majority of the population, their right to contest elections.

A good politician must be a good leader first, who can take good decisions, empathize with people, have a vision for the future and of course must know the way to get there.

It doesn't really matter if the person owns some degree or not-what matters are his love for the nation. The person should be honest, patriot and devoted to the country. And unfortunately, there is no such degree best owned for exhibiting these qualities!

Now let us come to the present scenario where we have a highly qualified legislature of MLAs and MPs certified from around the world's best universities, from Harvard, oxford to St.Masuchauttes.

But let me remind you that most of them have their best foot forward in all the scams taking from the 2-G scam to the coal scam and what not. The nation is now fed up of people with high acadimity, all we want is people with HONESTY, INTEGRITY, and COMMITMENT !

Should educational qualifications is necessary for a sports person, singer, dancer, actor, artist ? I think the answer is Big no, but yes if that possess then it will be helpful in many ways. But Instead of education qualifications they must have good skills and experience.

If only educated person can solve and bring good governance then why in terms of corruption India is in the rank of 144th, why in everyday we are seeing lots of officers are caught of taking bribe, why? Because they don't care about the welfare of society. If only educated people can rule, lead then how Dhirubhai Ambani became the business tycoon of India, how bill gates became the richest person? And many more. They don't have an MBA certificate but they had achieved more than an IIM, IITian can achieve.

You may have seen that son of some IAS officers are became a goon and son of a rickshaw driver /laborers son also cleared IAS exam.

So instead of educational qualifications they should be a good leader, motivator, ground to the earth and last but not the least they should be aware of the problem of people, some general knowledge and social worker. But in addition to that if they are educated then it is like "icing on the cake".

Thanking you.

Hello Everyone,

In my opinion, Politics is all about what you do for the country, and for the people.

But today's condition is worse. Now. Politics is all about money!

In my opinion, politicians should be educated and have the skills to manage the country. Only a degree can not decide whether he/she will be a good politician it's their passion which determines it. Imagine a situation, In a village, there's a well-educated person, who has the right to stand in the elections. But because of the study he is living outside of the village he doesn't know the needs of people or what they want. Will he/ she be able to manage. ?

And. There's another person who is not educated but living in the village who knows what are the people's needs what they want. What is good for the village! What should be done for the village?

But when we see it from the country's perspective. The person should also be well educated as they will be able to understand what is good for the country and what is not. He will be able to talk In the parliament. !

So, In my opinion, The politician should be well-educated and should also have skills. !

Thank you.

What essentially is needed is to acquire the conceptual education than the acadamic education. For instance as an elected IT Minister you ought to know the basis of how things work and what are their applications. Having wrong notions about thing won't work and the person will be no more than a sitting duck. On job explanation by the subordinate civil servant isn't exactly helpful while decision making which may polarize the incumbent minister either toward what the civil servant proposes or what is in the interest of their party and not based on public interest. The same may hold true for policy making in sports, Human resources and other portfolios where a much needed facility proposal may be rejected owing to lack of the prerequisite know how and the tendency to depend on the subordinates or popular choices may hamper the very essence of the purpose. The pre-requisite like motivator, empathetic, leading, humble, etc are much needed traits whether the bearer is educated or not. But being concept educated will make the bearer an independent free of uneducated decision making which usually involves vested interest.

According to our constitution, the criteria to stand an election in India is only that the candidate must be Indian citizen & the minimum age of the candidate is 25 years. Again our constitution says all the citizen have an equal right to give their vote & stand in the election. According to 2011 census, India's literacy rate is 74%. So if we will tell that our politician should be educated that means rest of 26% people will lose their right to stand in the election.

In India many peoples who are not able to get an education because of their financial reasons. So if they have lost their right to contest an election, they may think that there is no benefit for them to give their vote in the election, where they can't participate.

At last, I will say that Indian literacy rate has increased from our independence for which rise in the number of educated politicians in our country. So when literacy rate of India is more than 95% like US &UK, then automatically all the politicians are educated. So we should think about our literacy rate rather than the education of our politicians.

Hello everyone.

My name is KC Pandey according to my point of view -There should be a minimum education to the politicians because a politician is a representative of the people of society from where he is been elected and he must have all sort of knowledge related to the problem being faced by his voters.

Without any proper education, how can a politician address the problems of the society and how he can carry out development in any aspect?

If a politician is not well educated he will not have the right to voice for education for others.

Education is a viable and most important aspect in our current world scenario. We look upon the politician as an able person who can guide us and make proper and appropriate decisions. But if the politicians do not have proper academic background what impact will have at the local or national or international level.

Low qualified politicians cannot cope up with global changes and will not able to understand the diplomatic situations with other countries of the world.

I personally don't think education should be compulsory. Because nowadays education is directly proportional to grades and nothing else but being a politician or a leader is truly a part of mental abilities. If we go acording to this debate. What happens if we consider that education is compulsory as usual everybody will get a degree by just agregate passing marks and then be a politician but a person with the best thoughts for the country will be discarded cause he could not afford education or just was not capable of doing anything according to our education. Cause its drafted by some one who passed the mpsc or upsc even if by reservation and the best minds were left behind the reservation race. Some of The best minds in the world are not educated. A sheet paper made by a person who himself got the job theough reservation or corruption cannot decide the future of a person. And the minds which would think the best of a country cannot be left behind for a silly reson like you did pass your HSC.

Hi,

Education is matter, Qualification don't !

According to my view, education is must, it does not matter how much we are qualified, So how we can judge that person is educated? Answer is, take a test at high level judge their knowledge, their decision making power, accuracy of decisions, their globe knowledge, their leadership quality. So According to me, that test will be conducted for each and every person who wanna participate in elections. After given that test candidate take part in elections and people have choices alot of candidates who are well educated.

The second benefit of that process is that party culture will be finished because every candidate gives a test for a particular position like home minister etc and test also different for each position. So which candidate won election after passing a test that has power and second highest candidate rule like as opposition. According to me, that will be best. Please, anybody correct me if I am wrong.

Thanks mail. Com.

Hi everyone,

I want to share some of my views about the topic 'Education is necessary for politicians'. For this point, some are advantages and some are disadvantages. First of all, I want to say advantages that are if any politician who is educated then he can know what he wants to do and he know about the rules of the political awareness. Then he can understand the problem for the society and they can solve it easily. They have obedient, honesty, courtesy, thinking capability about any problem.

Some of the disadvantages of this topic are they don't know who to rule the society or country. Sometimes it is not mandatory the people who have not educated also they are ruling the society, but they have some experience otherwise they won't be in politics anymore. If anyone who are not educated they want to know how to serve the country or society.

What I have to conclude that anyone who is educated or not they want to know what is does or don't about that.
