Doctors' Accountability to Improve Health-Care

Dear all.

I think it's time to note the point that there should be applied accountability or not then I will say that it's Verry much necessary right now. Many of our friends mentioned about cleaning, ambulance, and allied instrument so on. But the matter goes on what is the fact that accountability is necessary. Someone has also mentioned about countless inside the operation theater is right. It may be the mistake Because mistakes are committed by all. Still, the government takes the action on such cases. These all the things mentioned can't only for the reason of accountability. There are lots of reasons. Today doctor is not playing the role as a doctor just like a business man. As we know that there is a proverb little knowledge is.

Dangerous for the things. Nowadays lots of doctors who are having Verry little command and experience over the practice and they treat to the patient and survive their livelihood. After these, some experienced doctors make a huge change on the common people. They send to a particular place for medical investigation report from where they get a huge commission. Many of doctors recommend such medicines which not branded and not found with every chemist. They call the patients for a long period gives the medicine which is direct cause of heart failure, kidney, and liver failure. So this is also our duty to look out basic problem consist with us and for root, out the problem, we should take needful action against such doctors. The government should control over their private practice either government should take strict action on such doctors.

I think doctor's accountability needs to be increased especially in India. Government should make strict rules for doctors like when they act non seriously even in operation theatre. They do silly things. Like forgetting material in someone's body during operation or not attending timely to serious patients. Their license should be cancelled. Then accountability will automatically increase among doctors. But patients and their families should also understand that everything (in case patient has already been drastically affected by the disease) is not in doctors' hands. Doctors is another form of GOD but he's not GOD.

I think I partly agree with this sentence. Its not completely doctor's accountability to give improved health care. There are many factors responsible when comes to healthcare, Infrastructure, laws, ambulance services, etc.

Government should come up with good facilities and infrastructure and also clean hospital environment in government hospital so that a common man can get best of the healthcare services.

Also more ambulance services like 108 that runs in Gujarat to be introduced across the nation. Laws should be amendment, so if there is any emergency case, it can be taken care by doctors first rather then form filling and other formalities.

Doctors are definitely accountable to certain extent where its their responsibility to give the correct advice to a patient and do not get involved in malpractices like stealing invaluable body parts just for sake of earning money.

Doctors need to follow their basic ethic. Some rich businessmen who organize different events and other charities, should come up and help government to improve health care. So according to me its the overall society who is responsible for improvement of the health care.

I think doctors are becoming partial with patients who are rich and don't treat poor patients with proper equality. What are your thinkings about it?

Doctors is second god of our life. In this world without doctors we can't run our routine life. So the doctors should increase the accoutability. In our world day by day new diesease are spreading it can be cure only by the accoutability of doctor. My point of view doctors accoutability should increase.

It is better to increase the accountability.Because of pollution from industries so many people are getting diseases.To cure those people doctors accountability is necessary.Doctors accountability is compulsory but that should be in rural areas.Doctors accountability in main cities is time waste process.

Doctors should be bound to their responsibilities. Because a minor mistake of doctors may prove to be fatal for the patients. In addition to Doctor's accountability, people should also remain hygienic to refrain from diseases.

To me doctors are our educators. There are doctors that have forgotten some compassion. And there are doctors that use the knowledge they learn, to do what a doctor was meant to do. But to me they are not GOD. They are healers. The role of a doctor to me is to instruct there patient. But how many doctors today take time to instruct a patient? Some doctors believe that the know more about your own body, than the person that have a complain. And all disease are curable these days. Pharmaceutical companies and the insurance business will go out of business. Remember that the insurance companies there only interest is the shareholder.

Yes dear should speed the awareness about health because they know what is the right and wrong in our body due to many of the incurable disease. Hence I think they should participate in days which are celebrated in worldwide i.e. Cancer day aids day etc. If they will not participate then who will join in this for awareness. Patient will participate? So I think they should go.

Doctor's accountability to some point I guess should be increased but it should be in such a way that it does not effect one's personal life. This accountability should be done by those doctors who have a good experience in his/her field. An ENT doctor should not practice on a heart patient in order to improve his/her knowledge rather he must practice on his cases which maximum of the time would prove beneficial for health care.
